Does Anyone REALLY Believe that McCain Can Win?

I'm just wondering. I don't think he has a chance.

First of all the Democrats turned out in greater numbers than the Republicans to begin with on Tuesday, didn't they?

He would need EVERY Republican voter from sea to shining sea to vote for him.....and THAT looks very unlikely.

He's going to look like a total old wimp debating with Obama and Hillary too, for that matter.

What do you guys think? He's going to get the backing of older Republicans who have NEVER voted outside their party before, and talk radio, of course. But who else?

I don't think it will be near enough.

He needed US, and he lost US a LONG time ago.

No way he is gung ho for the Iraq war. Republicans lost in 2006 because of the war, he will get his clock cleaned.

Anything can happen, but I doubt McCain will win.

Obama is drawing crowds of over 10,000 people; McCain is getting booed by conservative Republican activists who should be his base.

We're coming off 8 years of an unpopular Republican president.

The Dems have the 'change' argument big time, and the wind is at their backs.

Quite honestly, having him handle the war really worries me too.

"Mr. War" is the way I see him. I much preferred having Mitt Romney handle the war. He's more stable, more intelligent and just more EVERYTHING.

I think McCain is going to cause the need for a draft.

No......kind of blew it with we could be at war for 100 years. Even people who support the war take a step back with that statement. Sounded a tad too war crazy to me even if illegal immigration wasn't an issue. Plus he admitted he doesn't know much concerning any plans for a better economy. Now add amnesty to the mix and I don't know why anyone votes for him outside of respect for his military service.

Yep, agreed. Your next President will be Obama or Clinton.
(and we may get both in the end as an arranged tag team as POTUS/VPOTUS too).

8 years of 'Boosh the lesser' soils the environment for any Republican candidate (even outstanding ones) that have to follow... he has simply done TOO much damage.

No chance at all. Like others stated, he would need a massive turnout of republicans and conservatives and he certainly wont get that.

McCain is a pro war democrat and I'm betting that is the smallest demographic in the country.

The sad part is poor turnout may kill all of our conservative representatives in congress. And then we are truly doomed.

We really need an independent candidate to rally around, if for noother reason than to preserve our conservative friends in congress.

Bush fashioned the coffin and McCain nailed it shut on the Republican Party..

No hope except a third party..because many will refuse..after Bush/McCain dirty politics..hanging chads and the "hispanic vote"..to ever vote for another Republican Presidential Candidate..
Nixon Was Enough..Bush is One Too Many..and McCain is the Final Straw
