To the best of my knowledge TACA is not bankrupt or in receivership.....how many US airlines can say that? Maybe US lines ought to hire foreign pilots, flight attendants and mechanics.

Actually, it is unfortunate, but many American Airlines are doing business outside of the US these days. It could be why they are all doing so poorly. There is one particular airline, and if I'm not mistaken, it is either America West or Southwest which has it's maintenance done in Honduras.
I'm pretty sure that it is Southwest.
