Tony Snow defended Bush against criticism, he reinforces the statement that, “The President doesn't want to enforce immigration law because he's afraid he'll inconvenience someone who wants to come into the country for a better life." What about the American people that struggle to have a better life right within it’s home borders? Defending our homeland they called it! He further protest in assurance that the President is taking an even more aggressive role on border security than the House itself. Do we buy it? Mr. Snow claims that the funding increase will increase a higher level of battlefield superiority. Do we buy it? Increasing by more than 8 percent providing more Homeland Security, some 6,000 border patrol agents and more detention beds and more necessary personnel to manage these detention centers. Do we buy it? Placing some 257 attorneys on the line to expedite the removal of illegal immigrants. Do we buy it? He further embarrasses the situation by claiming the President has done his best to reduce Health care by Strengthening Medicare. Do we buy it? His focus on Zero-emission, increasing 22 percent funding to provide cleaner, cheaper, more reliable fuel then the foreign providers, exploring electric, hydrogen, and bio-mass. Do we buy it?
The American Competitiveness Initiative (ACI) will be given $5.9 billion in FY2007, and more than $136 billion committed in the next 10 years to increase investments in research and development to compete in the global economy. Do we buy it? As I quote the President “The party’s plan is to make sure the U.S. is the Leader of the World!” Do we buy it? Then to finalize the package it is thrown in, a commitment to promote compassion by promoting youth campaigns, $322 million, how is that for concern? We’ll just call this “Social concern bill”, as I coin it! The last by not least effort is to control the spending thus to quiet the roars from anti-war Americans bellowing sentiments that the war isn’t working, throw in a commitment to keep the spending down and work on the 2007 Budget. Do we buy it? What’s the old Joke about Ocean Front Property? If you believe this then, I’ve got Ocean Front Property in Arizona for you! Do you want to buy it?
