Amidst Anger at Trump, Guatemalan Columnist Chides Her Own Government
Amidst Anger at Trump, Guatemalan Columnist Chides Her Own Government
Jerry Kammer on January 14, 2018
There is plenty of outrage in Guatemala and other Latin American countries over President Trump's already infamous comments about the quality of certain countries that send immigrants to the United States. But columnist Claudia Nunez, writing in the Guatemalan Newspaper Siglo 21 has used the occasion to criticize the leaders of migrant-sending countries for failing to provide opportunities for their people on the home front.
"He is definitely not a person who is politically correct," Nunez wrote of Trump. "And the epithets he uses to describe certain groups are unfortunate and exemplify the decadence of the current political scene. But he has also said things that are true, for example, that it is we citizens of migration countries who have accommodated ourselves to the need to export people, as we have calmly allowed excessive levels of corruption to grow for decades."
Continuing her essay on the theme of emigration as a safety valve that keeps public frustration from provoking civic unrest, Nunez wrote, "Only mediocre governments are content to demand that others accept the permanent avalanche of their migrants, instead of building a better social, political, and economic environment so that migration would not be necessary...."

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

These countries need to classify their gang members as Domestic Terrorists with automatic Death Penalty!
That is the only way they will get a handle on getting rid of these violent vermin terrorizing their countries. There are just too many and this problem is out of control.
Take out the ones in prison...fill up the prison and repeat the process!
AND GET ON BIRTH CONTROL...STOP BREEDING MORE CRIMINAL LIVING IN POVERTY!
NOW SEND ALL TPS HOME, SEND ALL REFUGEES AND ILLEGAL HOME AND START SOLVING YOUR OWN PROBLEMS!
WE HAVE OUR OWN COUNTRY AND CITIZENS TO TAKE CARE OF...WE DO NOT WANT YOURS!ILLEGAL ALIENS HAVE "BROKEN" OUR IMMIGRATION SYSTEM
DO NOT REWARD THEM - DEPORT THEM ALL

Unfortunately, these countries have already figured in "remittances" as a major part of their economy. Same with african migrants to EU, the countries will not take their people back as they count on the monies sent back to their native country.
Why is mexico so adamant @ stopping deportations? They receive mega-billions every year in remittances sent from USA. Monies taken out of our economy by cheap labor advocates including our members of congress & chamber of commerce. ryan should get a big boot kick out of office - can't get more un-American than he is.
It is like overpopulate so we can send you off with a sob story to a prosperous country and they will give you a job, absorb your criminal behaviour and "send the bucks back home". The UN is evil!
