    Another oath

It seems to me the President, when he took office TWICE, as well as other presidents before him, took an oath to protect our borders.

It also seems to me that the current President, given it was he who was in office on 9-11-2001 would realize that wide open borders are not protectable (is that a word?).

We need a fence along the border, more border patrol or else soldiers on our own border instead of Korea's, and a massive sweep to find and deport the illegal immigrants in this country today.

Some say that it would hurt us economically to deport the 20 million or so who are here now. I say it won't because it would give others, who are willing to come to this country legally as guest workers the chance to work and get all the criminals out.

What part of illegal is unclear to our President and Congress? I guess because they don't have to live in the middle of mayhem they don't realize the problems it creates for average people. The next few months will show us whether they care more for Americans or invaders.

    Welcome to the forum!
President Bush forgets what his duties are, and he is hoping everyone else will too. He will forever have his large spread in Texas, and his family's home in Kennebuckport ME. He doesn't have to deal with illegal immigrants, unless they are tending to his family's lawn and housekeeping duties.
A good strong rock-solid fence 40' tall with barbed wire and electronic shock capabilities, might deter some. But that wont stop them. We need to bring our troops home and have them protect our borders, and not some faraway land that no one gives a hoot about.

Thank you for the welcome Butterbean. It's always nice to know that I'm not the only one fed up with this whole illegal immigrant scene.

A wall would be really nice. I'll personally do everything I can to help it get built if they ever start. In this border town, there is a 20 ft chain link fence with concertina wire on the top that runs part of the border. It isn't enough.

Our border patrol is up against impossible odds but I am glad to see that since the beginning of the MMP they are finally being allowed to do their job. We should all be writing to our local editors to show our support for the MMP and the border patrol. The more support the Minutemen get, the more press will be there and the more people there, the safer they will be.
