Thread: Husband tried to get at Mcdonald's given spanish application

I am new to this and am for legal immigration and against illegals coming into this country. Oh yes I am from Colorado. So Tancredo for President. My family has had some really tough times. A few years ago, my husband was out of a job went to McDonald's for an application. They gave him a spanish application. He said may I please have an English one, then the Manager said sorry if you can't fill this one out then you can't work here? What? I wrote Mcdonald's the letter I got back said that they did come back with an English application but by the time they did "we" were gone. Well, the problem is it was just him not we. My husband tried so hard for so long to find jobs and competed with illegals for these jobs. The construction business in Colorado is just worse don't even get me started on that one.

I am beginning to fear that if I speak my voice up about the illegal problem that people will think I am racist ect and I am not.

He has noticed on the way to work a few years ago, 10 years ago that when their vehicles would break down illegalls would just scatter, fearing deportation, now they just sit by the cars with smiles on the faces, knowing they will not get deported??

I work with 2 women from Cameroon, a man from Nigeria and a women from India, they came here legally and all became US Citizens, they love this Country.

I am so sorry to Rant, I am fed up and Tancredo and a few others our the only ones from our government who will speak up and do something about it!

Welcome aboard TMS! I think you will love this site. Don't ever let anyone call you a racist when you speak up against illegal immigration. Falsely accusing someone of being a racist is not tolerated on this site and justly so. The term has been so abused by certain individuals and groups in this country as well as BIG media who are apparently controlled by some of these individuals and groups. It has been successfully used to quite legal citizens of this great country for far too long in expressing our opinion.

Speak your mind, if you don't you may not have a chance in the not too distant future.

Never apologize for wanting the law applied to illegals the way it is applied to us legals.

Never apologize for wanting to know if your elected politicians support enforcement of immigration laws or not.

I could go on and on but I will stop right here.

Welcome tms...I hope your employment situation has improved...we know what it's like to compete with illegals for work...we've been having to do that for well over 10 years...we're overrun with illegals just like several other states are.

On this site we get to vent freely...for the most part...lol...I hope you'll enjoy being with others of like mind and learning what we're attempting to do about some of these outlandishly lawless situations.

Welcome to this board. Please, please feel free to speak your mind about illegals. Don't worry about the pro illegal alien crowd. We know how to deal with their kind.

I love it, more and more are joining our cause.

Never be afraid or intimidated about speaking your mind about these criminal wage thieves. You have rights in this country, even if the OBL tries to take them away from you. We won't let them without a serious fight.

Welcome TMS. You came to the right place if illegal immigration has effected your life in some way! Your story is incredible and I bet you have many more incidences that are probably a direct result of illegal aliens, especially if your husband is in the construction industry.
I'm sorry that President Bush doesn't seem to care, but we certainly do!

When we went to register my daughter for kindergarten here in Aurora Public Schools Colorado I had to fill out a form asking us if we were ever "migrant workers". A federal form mind you that was Spanish on one side and English on the other. This tells you how many illegals have moved into NORTH Aurora over the last 12 years or so. Colfax Ave.

McDonalds at the Denver Airport was shut down after 9-11 after the INS went out and checked for papers. McDonalds and Wal-mart use ILLEGALS and should be avoided besides McDonald's food will kill you!

I wish Mexico would take care of its own people please? El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Dominican Republican etc etc

Greetings, I'm new to this forum, but I've been watching the mess with illegal immigration for some years and am quite...dismayed to put it politely.

I'd heard rumors of that shortly after 9-11, but could find no corroborating reports. That is just insane, but does not suprise me one bit.

Here in Lafayette CO, the one time I attempted to order something from McDonalds it was a fiasco. Using the drive up window, the person manning the station was unable to speak English in an understandable fashion. I spent some 5 minutes trying to place my order before giving up in disgust and leaving. Calls and letters to the Corp. office when unanswered. No more McD's for me.
