Princeton agrees to community identification cards for illegal immigrants

PRINCETON -- The borough and the township have agreed to have a May 22 start for advocates for immigrants to issue community identification cards, according to a report in The New York Times.

The report said at least six city governments across the the U.S. endorse or issue photo identification cards to residents who are illegal immigrants. Similar programs are operating in Trenton and Asbury Park

How can Princeton do this? Isnt it a Federal Crime?

Section 274 felonies under the federal Immigration and Nationality Act, INA 274A(a)(1)(A):

A person (including a group of persons, business, organization, or local government) commits a federal felony when she or he:

* assists an alien s/he should reasonably know is illegally in the U.S. or who lacks employment authorization, by transporting, sheltering, or assisting him or her to obtain employment, or

* encourages that alien to remain in the U.S. by referring him or her to an employer or by acting as employer or agent for an employer in any way, or

* knowingly assists illegal aliens due to personal convictions

I'm no lawyer but couldn't citizens then sue these groups?

Isin't that what the bank o de mexico does? Bank of America...

What happens if the illegals get what they want? Andy Stern will be back at the helm of the SEIU scooping them all up - they will win comparable wages (which is only fair) - and we will all be broke again. At what point can the corporations finally be legally reminded that they exist to serve humans, not humans existing to serve them? And if we do that, will they simply all flee our shores en masse leaving us with millions more displaced, dissatisfied and ready to revolt? Or will they leave as soon as the SEIU RAZA types are successful? In a way the illegals are right to target US businesses - but they go after the little ones. We ourselves need to go after the big ones who create this not to shut them down as the illegals do, but to force them into compliance with the best interests of human beings at large, not the few at the top. I would like to believe in free trade and free everything and that the market corrects itself but I can see that it simply is not true. I'm disgusted that some US businesses market to consumers that are concerned about free-trade and sustainable wages elsewhere when so many citizens do not have the same.

I know that there are plenty of activists on the illegal side who are capable of studying the political theory of long time enemies but I think a very serious look into the funding of all of these organizations is mandatory.
