AZ Sheriff Says It’s 10th Amendment Time – States Should Deploy National Guard

[Watch] AZ Sheriff Says It’s 10th Amendment Time – States Should Deploy National Guard to Border

Posted on 15 July, 2014 by Rick Wells

Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu is a guest on Neil Cavuto’s program. They are discussing a potential release of illegal alien children into his county by the federal government and his alerting of the local citizens to their imminent arrival.

Stuart Varney, filling in for Cavuto, questions Sheriff Babeu as to the role he played in actually inciting the demonstrations, given that the government had planned to drop them off in secret.

Babeu says that is part the problem, he’s “sick and tired of our federal government doing things in secret, they’ve undermined the rule of law. We have enough problems here in Arizona fighting the drug cartels and the illegal immigrants, never mind flying or busing them in from Texas, compliments of president Obama.”

Pressed by Varney as to whether this is going to become a “cat and mouse game” with citizens trying to find out where the buses are going to be and the feds trying to sneak them in, Babeu replied, “Yes.” He then pointed out the testimony of DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson before congress last Monday in which he stated they were coordinating with local authorities.

He says that is not true and it is not happening. He was alerted to the buses by whistleblowers, not the government. He also says that another lie that is being told is that the border is more secure than ever. Babeu feels this is all part of a plan to legalize the illegals in the United States.

Babeu recommends the deployment of 1,200 armed soldiers to the border in Arizona to secure the border in the absence of the federal government doing their job. He says that Border States should act upon the power established under the tenth amendment of the U.S. Constitution. They should take control, at their own expense, of the border by deploying their National Guards. He says, “As costly as that may be, that’s the only thing that’s going to solve this issue long-term.”
