After all federal judges in Arizona recuse themselves, 9th Circuit chief appoints Larry A. Burns to Loughner trial

A federal judge from southern California has been appointed to the case against the man accused of shooting Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, a federal judge and other federal employees.

The appointment of Judge Larry A. Burns came Wednesday after all federal judges in Arizona recused themselves.

The recusal order says the Arizona judges' impartiality could be questioned because U.S. District Judge John Roll was killed during the rampage. Roll was the chief federal judge for Arizona.

The appointment was made by Alex Kozinski, chief judge for the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

Jared Loughner has been charged with trying to assassinate the congresswoman and killing Roll, as well as fatally shooting a Giffords staffer and wounding two others.

It was a tragedy to have this happen,BUT

Never mind the nine year old girl and others.

What about the people this government funds to kill through abortions?

But they make a BIG DEAL over government workers

Judges are owned by corporate world, too.

Now put the jury on filtered water.

When I heard it on the radio it sounded bogus. But when I looked it up - (this article came up first) not so bogus. Some say that AZ's economy is worse than CA's. This keeps us from the expense of re-trial hopefully, by preventing that card from being played.

So yeah, just one more example of not being able to get news on the a.m. AM news station - just more spin. No wonder I have exhausted adrenal!
