It sounds like Sen Sanders is on our side. Just heard him on Lou Dobbs and he said why would we want to bring in millions here when American wages are already depressed.

One more for our side!
To bad all could not see the light.
He's been against this amnesty bill all along.
Bless his little Vermont heart!
Smart man!! He gets it!!
I would have never thought that I would ever agree with any of Sen. Sander’s views. The immigration issue sure does make for some strange bedfellows. LOL
We watched and he was great! Finally got hubby to watch Lou and now when I get home from work, Lou (besides hubby) greets me!
I believe Sanders voted NO on the last cloture votes!
Yeah, he was with us before. I've called and thanked him several times.
Funny that I can't get any kind of commitment from the other Independent...Joseph Liberman! :?
I wouldn't call him independent.Quote:

lol the only reason he is against this bill is because of the guest worker program he is just like barbara boxer of carlifonia i will bet you he'll vote for cloture next time.
Whoa, hold the bus. Everything is not exactly as it seems regarding Sen. Sanders! If it weren't for the guest-worker program and H-1B increases, Sanders would be supporting this bill! Remember, he voted against the Vitters amendment to remove the Z visa amnesty. Sanders is for amnesty, just not for guest-worker programs.
Check out his NumbersUSA immigration report card:

I'm glad Sanders found something in the bill to hate. However, that doesn't necessarily make him our best friend. For now, let's just call him temporary friend.
We need to call and get definite confirmation on where he stands!
make him go public with it.
I called his office today, they did not comment but I laid it on thick about how Vermonters are NOT the type to grant amnesty to invaders.
Here we reach that strange nexus where conservatives and socialists see eye to eye so long as the socialist has America utmost in his mind.
I absolutely agree with this. He is taking the far left position like Barbara Boxer; he opposes this because of the guest worker provisions, but if they came up with a bill which was much more lenient towards the illegals, i.e., allowed more "family reunification" WITHOUT the guest worker provision, he'd vote for it. He's not against amnesty, only the guest worker.Quote:
