I'm not for crippling the farmers by just cutting off all labor. I want them to have no cost advantage in hiring aliens. We have an excellent agricultural visa program and have for many years. They don't use it because they have to pay a certain wage and make sure they depart the country. It also forbids their families coming with them.

Reminds me of some of the truckers I worked with. They had the wife and 3 kids in the cab with them. I guess that was their home.

Yes, the agricultural community of the United States has been covered for every possible, imaginable issue they might run into, whether it's a labor shortage, a natural disaster, disease, changes in market. changes in interest rates and financing .... they are truly our most spoiled industry, because Americans love our farmers, always have, we've spoiled them rotten and I'm sure we'll continue to do so. But cheating our workers and taxpayers by hiring illegal aliens, that needs to be a "red line" in the field. That needs to stop. Use the agricultural visas we already have and abide all the rules, hire Americans or automate. Period.

And they are not all coming here to pick lettuce.

They are coming to give birth and get on the welfare gravy train.

Cut off ALL freebies and many will leave.

We have a high cost of living here...the freebies is how THEY survive...while we go broke!

A lot of the illegal alien and legal immigrant construction workers and crews are in the disaster areas of Puerto Rico and places hit by storms on the mainland US where they can lake a lot more money as the government hands out sacks of freshly printed cash for repairs.
