Border Patrol Stops 23 On Terrorist Database

Border Patrol Stops 23 On Terrorist Database-There have been over one million migrant encounters in 2022 alone.
According to a Fox News exclusive with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data, “Border Patrol apprehended at least 23 people coming across the southern border whose names are on the terror watchlist in 2021.”

Four of those apprehensions included people on the “no fly” list.
In addition to the 23 people stopped who were on the terrorist database, Border Patrol also apprehended over 36,000 people with criminal records.

A startling increase from previous years, highlighting just how dangerous our southern border has become.
CBP has said that their organization is “not the determining factor” in whether someone is placed on the terrorist watchlist. As that is done by “several law enforcement and intelligence agencies.”

The Terrorist Screening Database (TSDB) contains information about known and suspected international terrorists.

And is used by federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement agencies, as well as the U.S. military, intelligence community, and other government entities to identify known or suspected terrorist individuals in order to thwart terrorist activities.
Why some of those flagged individuals are making their way into the county by means of our southern border is both alarming and telling. Highlighting the “ease of entry” many migrants see in the current border situation.

Reps. James Comer and John Katko, who serve as ranking members on the Oversight and Homeland Security committees respectively, had this to say in a letter to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas just last month:
“Reporting indicates that multiple individuals with terrorist ties have been recently apprehended after illegally crossing the border, and that such encounters may be increasing,” they wrote. “The American people deserve to know whether President Biden’s weak border policies are allowing terrorists to enter our homeland.”

Former Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott has notably been sounding the alarm over this “never seen before” influx of TSDBs, stating in a recent interview that “in the last two months, we’ve arrested over 100 people on the terrorist watchlist coming across our southern border.”

Scott made it clear: These are not individuals who are looking for a better life or to escape violence. These are people with malicious intent, and it is only a matter of time before one of them slips through the cracks.
Notice the difference in who is crossing our southern border in record numbers according to Scott, versus the narrative being spun by The White House who continues to downplay this surge in migrant crossings.
Of course, these numbers are only what’s been reported. The real figures are surely higher, as many migrants are not apprehended and make it into the country undetected.
