This Issue: Sen. Sessions: 'Call your Senator and ask them where they stand.' -- Will you make the call?

Last week, the House took aggressive action to stop the ongoing, illegal-alien border surge and to prevent Pres. Obama from granting work permits to millions of illegal aliens. But the Senate has done nothing to address the surge and the president's threat to expand his executive amnesties.

Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) is calling on all Americans to pressure their Senators to take a stand on Pres. Obama's plan to grant amnesty to another 5-6 million illegal aliens. Will you answer Sen. Sessions' call to action? (See three actions you ca n take below.)

To every member of the public, red state or blue state or purple state, call your Senator and ask them where they stand. Ask them if they support the House bill to block executive amnesty and if they will demand it receive a vote. You are a citizen of this country and you are entitled to a clear answer to this question.

-- Sen. Sessions

You saw what your activism was able to do in the House of Representatives. Through millions of faxes and tens of thousands of phone calls, you prevented House Leadership from giving in to Pres. Obama and instead forced a successful vote on the Blackburn bill that would defund future executive amnesties. We need that same level of activism directed at your two U.S. Senators.

It doesn't matter if they're Democrats, Independents, or Republicans. With 18 million Americans who want a full-time job unable to find one and a crisis at our Southern border, now is not the time for Pres. Obama to overstep Congress and take his own action on immigration. Even the Washington Post's editorial board this week came out against the President's proposed plan.

Congress is a mess. But that doesn't grant the president license to tear up the Constitution.

-- Washington Post editorial, Aug. 5, 2014

Here's what you can do:

1) Call your Senators: Call both your Senators in their D.C. offices and demand that they issue a public statement either in support or in opposition to an expansion of Pres. Obama's executive amnesty. Also tell them to urge Majority Leader Harry Reid to bring the Blackburn bill to the Senate floor for a vote. We need you to call every weekday in August. We must keep the phones ringing off the hook in every Senator's office.

2) Fax your Senators: Visit your Action Board and send a new fax that we've posted demanding that your Senators oppose Pres. Obama's amnesty and urge Sen. Reid to bring the Blackburn bill to the floor for a vote.

3) Sign the petition: If you're not one of the 40,000 individuals that have already signed our petition to Pres. Obama, please do so today. We'd like to hit the 100,000 signatures mark by the weekend!

WH ANNOUNCES PLANS TO EXPAND EXECUTIVE AMNESTY

Last Saturday, the Washington Post reported that the Obama Administration was in the final stages of its review of executive actions the president could take on immigration. White House senior staffer Dan Pfeiffer confirmed that during his appearance on ABC's This Week on Sunday, saying that the President was preparing to take action.

Reports are that Pres. Obama will expand his 2012 Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program to an estimated 5-6 million more illegal aliens. The DACA program granted more than 550,000 illegal aliens who were 30 years of age or younger at the time of their application amnesty and work permits. The new program could extend a similar offer to illegal aliens who would have been eligible for amnesty under the Senate-approved, Schumer-Obama amnesty bill, S.744.

We must stop this action from happening! With last week's vote in the House, 223 House Reps. stood on the side of American workers who would face increased job competition and stagnant wages if Pres. Obama granted work permits to more than 5 million illegal aliens. Where do your Senators stand?

THEY SAY: No Amnesty

WE SAY: No Amnesty/No Work Permits

Reports are that Pres. Obama could grant work permits to 5-6 million illegal aliens later this month or in Septembe r. Some will say that this isn't amnesty, but it is because . . .

. . . . an amnesty occurs as soon as you give work permits to illegal aliens.

The pledge you want from your Senators over the next few weeks is not "No Amnesty." That pledge is worthless unless it is expanded to: "No Amnesty/No Work Permits."
