Bush's 'Superhighway' is an affront!

Buried in the sports section of a Washington newspaper on Aug. 18 was an article that the Bush administration intends to go forward with a pilot project that will allow up to 100 Mexico-based trucking companies to operate in the United States beyond the border zones of about 25 miles.

This pilot project is a threat to the security of the U.S. and is unconstitutional. Neither Congress nor the citizens have been given sufficient time to review this matter, which fails to adhere to and honor our laws. It is a sneaky maneuver by the administration and ignores the concerns of the people.

This project is the beginning of the North American Free Trade Agreement Superhighway, with the potential to provide illegal aliens, terrorists, and drug cartels with easy access and entrance into the United States. The NAFTA Superhighway and its corridors will run from southwestern Mexico through Laredo, Austin, and Dallas, into Kansas City, Kan., and will serve as an inland customs port.

In Kansas, the Trans-Texas Corridor (NAFTA) splits, with a route through Omaha, Neb., to Winnipeg, Canada, while another route runs through Des Moines, Iowa, Chicago, and Detroit to Toronto.

An additional corridor is planned to run from Browns-ville, Texas, to Houston and through Arkansas and Tennessee into Norfolk.

Our president needs to be reminded that he took an oath to uphold the laws of the United States, and that our government is not a government by the president, his cronies, foreign countries, and corporations, but rather our government derives its just powers from the consent of the governed, "We the People." Our government is of the people, by the people, and for the people of the United States of America and not government of the peoples of foreign countries.

We are led by a globalist, not an American.... he has no interest in Amerika's (Yes I spelled it correctly) because we are entering a police state led by the weathy and powerful. His only interest is making the rich, richer and bleeding the US of it's resourses in this case the people and it's land.... this land does not belong to a corrupt individual or world entity

This is such a bad thing. Bush has really shown his true colors and they are not red, white and blue.
This is a pilot program that is supposed to last for a year. These drivers can't read English. They use drugs to stay awake. The trucks are unsafe. I've done a lot of research on this, and being a guinea pig or test dummy is not my choice!
This starts on Sept 1st. Just when the school buses will be back on the roads. God help us all.
The unions are very quiet now. They spoke up before, but this time they are saying nothing. Could mean they are going to take care of it on their own, or it could mean they have been paid off or threatened in some way. Anyone that is killed or in an accident needs to file a law suit and start to scream about this. Not many people know this is happening.
