CA Rep wants to bring DREAM to House
As many of you heard, the DREAM Act failed to muster the 60 votes
necessary to shut down debate in the Senate to move for a vote. While
this is a setback for the bill, the House is negotiating on a package of
immigration measures that the CHC and others hope can muster sufficient votes to be moved before Thanksgiving.
The Congressman and members of the CHC are meeting right now with Speaker Pelosi to deliver a recommendation of the immigration pieces we would like to move forward.
The indication in the House is that we have is that no piecemeal
legislation will move forward as we are trying to get enough people on
board for a piece that addresses AgJobs, DREAM Act, H1B, H2B along with
probable asks for enforcement by Republicans and some Blue Dog Dems.
House will be in session until Nov. 17th, so time is critical.

The problem is this. The Senate and the Congress are so used to doing what they want that they figure we will be asleep at the switch sooner or later. Afterall we have been. Not any more though. Pelosi better be ready for a fight. She is looking like such a stupid idiot. Down right stupid. You can almost see her jaws clenching. I hope she loses it soon.
