    Street vendors and swine flu

Eeerrrrgg! Every flippin day I call our police department to report a street vendor selling something out of their shopping carts on our street. Tonight it was two women selling tamales out of rolling laundry baskets! Of course by the time the police can get there the vendors have moved onto the next street on their route. I'm so sick of it.

An speaking of being sick.... now with Mexico sharing their swine flu with us, I'd like to know just how big of a pandemic do we have to have in this country before this kind of #@@#% is STOPPED?

I would do my best to see if I can photograph these people and their wares and document when they have come by. I would not only contact the police, but a nice call to the health department may also come in handy. My advice is to document everything.
And from what I heard this evening was that swine flu cannot be transmitted by eating pork, so at least our bacon is safe. But selling any prepared food product without inspection of the cooking facilities is illegal.
Owning a restaurant in the 1980s, FL health inspectors were there every three months. Later, looking into starting a seagrape jelly business, I either would have had to rent a place or tear up my house to put in a commercial kitchen. Since I do things by law, the cost would have been prohibitve.
Undoubtedly, these people care nothing about laws, if they even have a clue because they are illiterate.
While it may not be swine flu, it very easily could be salmonella or e-coli they are spreading. Go for it!

Welcome to the ALIPAC board SaveCalifornia

Vortex, Seagrape is Cocoloba uvifera! I remember eating it as a boy in the West Indies and my biologist Dad telling me what the scientific name for it is.

I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Welcome to ALIPAC savecalifornia! Glad to have you. Your avatar is great. There are many of us Californians here at this site. We are all sick of what has happened to our once beautiful state and the corruption that goes on since the senseless liberal Dems took it over.

This reminds me, a couple years back the street venders here in denver were selling drugs out of those little mexican ice cream push carts. Now we have to worry about them selling diseases and death. Jesus criminey!

Little Irish Girl the same thing happened in Glasgow in the 1980s. The police investigating them were referred to in the tabloids as "the serious chimes squad".

What town are you located in? I have been waging a campaign against illegal vendors in California also. Depending on where you are, I might be able to give you some pointers that have started working lately for me
It will not be enough to send a letter. We will have to march on washington and dictate terms in the white house
