A FEW THINGS TO THINK ABOUT

A FEW THINGS TO THINK ABOUT

The salvation army workers that were fired for not learning English in 1 year is ridiculous since they had been working there for 5 years.
I could learn Martian in that length of time. There is no excuse for anyone in this country not to learn English. We should not have to accommodate them by learning Spanish, they should accommodate the American culture by learning and speaking English.

Amnesty is rewarding and pardoning people who have broken our laws. What kind of example does this set for our children whom were are teaching to uphold the law even if you don’t agree with it. There are American citizens who do not want their tax money going to aid abortion or this war, but we have not choice but to pay our taxes.

Just because we are in Iraq is no reason we have to stay and
Just because 20 million illegals aliens are here is no reason to let them stay.
That’s just like saying since the burglar has broke into my house, he can stay since he is already here. Or keep my televison since he already has it.If we are losing the war, we either leave or change the course that will be necessary to win.
If illegal immigration is not working, enforce immigration laws and arrest the burglar and get my television back. Even if the cost of arresting him cost more than the television is.
There are always solution to our problems.

How about a day without and illegal immigrant. I am looking forward to that. I remember the day when the protested. One of the most relaxing days to be out and about that I'v had in a long time.

I was considering making a similar thread as dyehard's here, but instead I'll just piggy-back what I was going to post right here below.
I've been sending this around - especially to the Democrats in the Senate - about the latest bill negotiations. Feel free to use as you see fit...

A famous US Senator uttered the haunting words below over twenty years ago:

"This amnesty will give citizenship to only 1.1-1.3 million illegal aliens.
We will secure the borders henceforth. We will never again bring forward
    another Amnesty Bill like this."

-Ted Kennedy, 1986 (The year the IRCA was signed into law - the bill that
granted the first official large-scale amnesty to many illegal aliens):

"It's like Deja Vu all over again..."

Of course, the borders remain largely unsecured, the government turned it's back on serious interior enforcement and the bureaucracy that is supposed to manage the entry/exit of foreign nationals remains dysfunctional and underfunded.

Twenty years ago the total population of the US was 240 million. At that time, there were an estimated 1.2 million illegal aliens in the country.

Today, our population has grown to over 300 million. Now, the number of illegal aliens has grown to 12 million or more - a full ten-fold increase over the previous twenty years.

What will happen in the next twenty years? Can we accommodate another ten-fold increase (120 million people) - most of whom are likely to be illegal aliens? Do we need to have a population of greater than 420 million in twenty years? ...And, then we could talk of the additional population coming from LEGAL newcomers as well...but that, as they say, is another story.

Politicians in DC, owned by their corporate and special interest contributors, are crafting yet another attempt at amnesty - to address a problem that shouldn't even exist.

Are we prepared to endorse insanity as an official immigration policy? (Recall the widely-held axiom that "insanity is the act of performing a repeated behavior with the expectation of different result...")

    Let us hope not.

What I just heard on CNN is that we are separating children from their parents when they are deported. And there was a lady that was crying because she was picked up at an illegal work place recently.
Are we going to release criminals because they have been separated from their children. NO. that is a choice they make when they enter this country illegally and have children and when a criminal commits a cirme.

I just heard McCain and the same old rhetoric. "we cannot arrest them all, put them on busses and send them home."

We are not asking for that. Just close business that hire illegal workers and the will go home, they will not come. If there are not jobs for them they will leave. They will sell their assets and start over in the home country better off than when they came. That should be a good start considering the cost of living in Mexico.
