Regarding Esther Cepeda's column: "Immigration: 5,100 reasons for outrage": I was shocked to read that our bad old government will not always allow the U.S.-born children of illegal immigrants to go with their parents to their native lands, when they are deported. They seem to perhaps be held captive here (future votes?) Oh, my.

In the first half of 2011, our bad old government removed 46,000 mothers and fathers, and 5,100 children were left to live in foster care. Oh, my.

I guess this is just a terrible country, treating illegal immigrants so badly. I, for one, would be glad to give all these people immediate citizenship, and they can have my retirement savings, and my Social Security, and my health care, and that should make everybody feel, oh, so good. And my crippling guilt for having worked and saved so I would not be a burden to anyone in my old age would be assuaged.

I just don't understand the horrible people in this country who are so selfish, and thoughtless. They just want things like they used to be. They want our laws to be obeyed. They want that old-fashioned Constitution to be honored.

They want the people they elect to be honest and trustworthy. They want socialists and communists to read "War and Peace" and "Atlas Shrugged."

I do hope that we will all learn to give and share, so every day will be just like Christmas. Oops, I did not mean to say that bad word.

By the way, Cepeda was born and grew up on the north side of Chicago. She has a degree in journalism from Illinois University. Ring any bells?
