A Cameron County grand jury indicted a woman on allegations of election violations, court documents show.
Margarita Rangel Ozuna, 62, address unknown, is accused of carrier envelope action and assisting voter violation, according to an indictment. She was indicted in late March.
It is not immediately known what elections her indictment pertains to and what agency filed the charges against her.
Count 1 alleges Ozuna, “knowingly deposited the carrier envelope of Ricardo Liceaga Alonso in the mail without providing the defendant’s signature, printed name, and residence address on reverse side of envelope,” the document states.
According to the accusations in count 1 of the indictment, Ozuna “knowingly prepared the ballot without direction from Ricardo Liceaga Alonso.”
Count 2 accused Ozuna of failing to provide a signature, printed name, residence address on the official carrier envelope while assisting Alonso, the indictment shows.
