Thread: Can't we use identity theft laws to convict illegals?

Can't we use identity theft laws to convict illegals? After all, they are stealing someone's identity with their stolen social security numbers.

We can't even seem to convict legals of such crimes. Our system is so messed up!

there is a federal law 'on the books' that makes it a felony to impersonate a U.S. citizen -- this law, which would include stolen social security cards, is not enforced either -- the felons are deported, probably WITH the stolen identities

The really bad thing is when illegals use your number the SS funds paid in are set aside, frozen and unavailable to the retiree owning the SS number.

I do not like that fact the if Social Security identifies someone using your social security number they cannot notify you due to a tax privacy law.

That really bothers me, It's my identity, shouldn't I know if someone else is using it? God knows what else they intend to do with it, like make me go broke...

Isn't it amazing you don't have the right to your own information? Everyday I learn something new that is so bizarre it makes me ill. It's as if they WANT us to be destroyed, in one way or another.

There is an illegal that works where I work. I just thought of this and thought I'd try it. I guess the place I should probably make the report would be to the local police department in the town where the company is. Why not? We are trying everything and nothing seems to be working. Why not try every single option we have?
