The Catholic Church Should Help Mexcio In Mexico

The church will always take the soft hearted look at every issue. They should, that is their job. BUT, if they REALLY want to help, they should be sending people TO MEXICO, in order to REALLY help the people.

It is wrong for them to assist in a situation that is harmful to another country.

Even Americans want to help Mexcio, there are many people, teachers, lawyers who could truly help by going to Mexcio and helping the country to establish a safe, and productive country.

The problem is these people do not want to leave America in order to help, so they ignore the facts, as to what they are doing to the U.S. and
that is not a respectable path for the church to be on.

GO TO MEXICO AND HELP THE PEOPLE SO THAT THEY ARE NOT SO DESPERATE THAT THEY ARE WILLING TO BREAK THE LAWS OF ANOTHER COUNTRY.

The recent comments by Cardinal Oscar Andres Rodriguez Maradiaga, "global world where money, goods and people move across those borders" is a notion that must go as it carries no recognition of property violation or cultural conflict that no Community anywhere has to accomodate or adapt to any such intruder violation.

The concept of across Border movement of money, goods, people has always been exchanged and existed before and works well with legal recognition which is to say that Illegal Immigrants are just that - ILLEGAL and are the problem. The border is not the problem.

The Cardinals and Catholic Church simply want to ignore the major problem committed by calling all newcomers as immigrants, and hence making no distinction between what is legal or illegal immigration. As what is clear by deportation that immigrants can in fact be illegal because of U.S. Laws. The majority of Americans fully support legal immigration. Immigration reform ultimately has to include enforcement and the lesson of learning jurisdiction and assimilation. The time has come not just for immigration reform but also to no longer to tolerate illegal immigration.

The Catholic Church should consider its position regarding illegal immigration which currently fails to consider that enforcement of immigration laws means that there is a lesson to be learned. There are consequences for broken laws. Laws of legal entry (just as mexico has) are there for good reason. Violation of Laws means there is a penalty that is going to be applied. Just like Robbers who break theft laws.

Nations and their communities do not have to accomodate negligence, rude intrusion and thieving across any Border that can lead to grave terrorism. It is only common sense and respectful to have immigration laws.

By the Catholic Church or any other church to be aiding and abetting illegal Aliens they are committing illegal actions - crimes. The Catholic Church is harboring illegal Aliens.

The Catholic Church here is aiding lawlessness and cheap labor greed which are sins.

The Catholic Church is helping MS-13 gangs, counterfeiting and wanton pillaging and raping.

The Catholic Church should be donating its money to mexico if they are so concerned.

The Catholic Church should come to realize the problem of runaway overpopulation in mexico.

It is the illegal Aliens who bring suffering upon themselves, not the United States or Americans.

It is mexico that brings suffering, starving and corruption upon its own people. Tell mexico to start making opportunities for its citizens instead of criminally telling them to go to the U.S.

The Catholic Church needs to correct the corruption and irresponsibility of Mexico because Mexico is to start swallowing its own corruption mess.

The Catholic Church should be seeking to call enforcement of the rule of law to protect the United States to maintain the U.S. as a force of good and where the U.S. is still the most giving and generous Nation on Earth. Giving and generosity does not mean accepting violation, pillaging and harmful expense.

The Church could go a long way in calling for good reform, end of corruption and legal responsibility in mexico to enter the U.S. at ports of entry---since it is illegal Aliens and mexico's own fault that they perish in the desert. Illegal immigration and any rewards for illegal immigration are no longer to be tolerated.

Cardinal Mahoney works hard at hiding pedophile priests, why not with MS-13.

The Catholic church has become a political party of the far left. Where do you think the largest growing segment of the church is? South of the border!

It's a breeding ground for revolutionary leaning priests. And the Catholic Bishops there are supporting what their priests and flocks want...open access to the US....and it's treasure chest.

And who do you think is leading the illegals when they get to the US? Similar thinking Priests here.

All in the name of "social justice."

Gingerurp, that is GOOD news regarding the Baptisit Church. That is the RIGHT and CORRECT and RESPECTABLE way to approach this.

    Ronlaws, what a great post

You guys, I am Catholic, however I am so disturbed at the LACK OF RESPECT SHOWN to the very country (USA) which strives to support freedom all over the world, to the country (USA) which does the most of any country around the world to fight poverty and disease, and the country (USA) which tries the most to help third world countries improve their situation. This disrespect is shown to the American people BY THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.

The Catholic Church has SO MANY "LAWS" of their own which are put into place by the Vatican, and the Catholic Church takes these laws VERY SERIOUSLY. It is EXPECTED that people will respect and abide by the laws of the Catholic Church, if they want to be Catholic, or attend their Church.

NOW. Imagine this. Before a person can receive Holy Communion, they must accept the Sacrament of the Eucharist following long term classes which indoctrinates you into the Catholic faith. This is a MUST according to the laws of the Catholic Church. To not take these proper and official steps prior to accepting Holy Communion, would be considered a terrible display of disrespect and "breaking the rules". Well do I remember the stern teaching of the "rules" of the church as a child. There are many "laws" of the Church which they take very seriously, and expect the people to adhere to firmly.

Yet when it comes to the United States of America, it is okay to disregard federal laws in their opinion, and they will be there to comfort you, and even assist you if you break these laws. I am not saying that they should take a cruel approach to illegals, but they should be RESPECTING and sending a CLEAR MESSAGE TO VICENTE FOX that they believe it is WRONG to disregard federal immigration laws. The Catholic Church is NOT ABOVE THE LAW, and I firmly believe that God would not approve of this negligence and disrespect towards the American people. U.S. immigration laws are in place for EXTREMELY important reasons, and if the Church wants people to take their laws seriously, then, be a leader and an example of such behavior.

The Catholic Church is taking advantage of their so called authoritative position in regards to many people, and can at times (especially in the past), but obvioulsy today as well, even behave in an intimidating manner. Stay on course, in the eyes of God, which would be to uphold civilian laws in the same manner as you desire to uphold your own laws.

Wake up Catholics. Stand up and be heard. Don't bring your wallet to Church. Money is something the Catholic Church takes VERY seriously.
Obviously more seriously than they take the laws which exist to protect you and your children, here in the United States.

Especially the more devout you are, do not be intimidated or made to feel badly about taking a stand on this issue. If you truly love your Church you will give her guidance. It is the Catholic people, not the leaders who must ultimately decide where the Church will stand regarding whether or not laws will be taken seriously. IF the Catholic Church doesn't want people who have not taken their prescribed classes before participating in the Sacraments...then they should set the example of respecting laws.

Otherwise they are going to need a REAL ID, which one shows when they go to the alter to accept Holy Communion. And then there will be counterfeits. Don't disregard laws if you want people to obey laws.

HELP MEXICO IN MEXICO. GIVE THEM HOPE FOR THEIR COUNTRY.
GET TO THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM, INSTEAD OF HANDING THEM A BANDAID.

    gingerurp,
    Welcome to ALIPAC!

I honestly believe it is the churches job to go into other nations and help them with their basic needs. It is up to their governments to help them gain employment and up to them to gain the liberties that we enjoy.

At least some Baptist Churches have been helping illegals for years. Several years ago an acquaintance told me that her brother in NC went to a church that helped illegals.

Now getting back to the Catholic Church... there is no reason for Catholics to go to Mexico... there are already plenty of Catholic churches there. This is all about getting money into Catholic coffers and sustaining the Catholic Bureaucracy.

The Catholic Church should also take a lesson from history...namely the French Revolution...where the Catholic Church leaders in Paris were thrown into jail and killed after the citizens of Paris had enough of the Catholic Church's greed and power.
