Yeah, I wonder how much that "head of lettuce" really
costs us the taxpayers when you figure in welfare, food stamps, crime, disease,
drug and human trafficking and swamped hospitals and schools.
Good grief....maybe we should stop eating salads!

We save about 10 bucks a year on ALL of the produce comsumed by ALL of our immediate family. We lose about $1,700 a year in depressed wages. You do the math. Of course, that is not even including the costs of social services explained by the article.Quote:
