O’Reilly: Immigration Crisis Could Damage Entire Infrastructure of America

As seen on The O'Reilly Factor

    Video at the page link:

In tonight’s Talking Points Memo, Bill O’Reilly remarked on a New York Times story that said humanitarian aid should be given to about 50,000 kids who have illegally entered the United States since last fall, plus the hundreds more who come in each day.

O’Reilly said that liberal America is trying to convince us that poor immigrants are freeing economic oppression. While accepting poor people who are fleeing chaotic governments is a hallmark of America, O’Reilly said, “The harsh reality is we cannot support all the world’s poor, it is impossible.”

“The Factor” host noted that some on the left have wanted open borders for years, but that would break the U.S. financially. He said that many of these children and their parents can’t speak English, have little education and few skills. They can’t compete in the U.S., and O’Reilly said it will take decades for them to become self-sufficient.
“So we are creating an underclass of people totally dependent on American taxpayers, who are already under siege from every direction,” he said.
“The immigration crisis could very well damage the entire infrastructure of America,” he said. “There’s no question about it.”

Kirsten Powers and Monica Crowley responded to the Talking Points Memo tonight.
Powers said we should take care of any child that comes into the United States.
“We cannot afford to do this,” O’Reilly told her.
“I’ve never heard you say that we can’t afford to invade Iraq,” Powers fired back.

Ms. Powers spoke like a true liberal, bleeding heart but no common sense, if she feels the way she spoke she should take in at least 10 children feed, cloth, school and provide medical care until they are 18 years old but no the true liberal wants all of Americans to pay. Liberals have no economic sense at all.
I'm old with many opinions few solutions.

New York Considers Giving Illegals the Right to Vote

in News / by Brandon Walker / on June 17, 2014 at 9:44 pm /

As if we didn’t see this one coming a mile away, a New York Democrat lawmaker has put a bill up for vote this Thursday. If it passes, then illegal immigrants in New York will be given the right to vote.
If you previously thought that everyone was “out there” for saying Amnesty was just a ploy to flood our system, that might not be the case now. This puts Cloward Pivens on steroids and grants the right to vote to millions of illegal immigrants to swing the vote in favor of the Democrats.
There is now a bill on the docket in the New York State Senate to give illegals the right to vote in New York elections. The bill is sponsored by New York State Senator Gustavo Rivera.
    From Reuters:
(Reuters) – A New York lawmaker wants to grant many of the rights of citizenship to millions of illegal immigrants and non-citizen residents, including the right to vote in local and state elections, under a bill introduced on Monday.
The New York Is Home Act is the first bill in the United States that would provide such broad rights to non-citizens who can show they have lived and paid taxes in New York for at least three years, according to the bill’s sponsor, state Senator Gustavo Rivera.
“Nearly 3 million people in the state of New York currently reside here and make New York their home, but can’t fully participate in civic, political, and economic life,” Rivera, a Democrat who represents the Bronx in New York City, said in a telephone interview.
He states the bill is necessary because the federal government will not pass Amnesty.
“With failure at the national level on comprehensive immigration reform, the question we have asked is what can states do?” he said.
The bill would require you to spend three years in the state of New York, and have a willingness to serve on a jury. The bill states that they would have to pay taxes, but it fails to mention SSI, HUD, Healthcare, EBT, and other assistance is not taxed. Other than state sales tax, it would be hard to prove they pay anything to the state. They would also have to pledge to obey the state constitution and local laws.
One question: Didn’t they already break these laws by coming into the country illegally?
In return, they would be given the privileged of getting a New York driver’s license, state licenses for things like plumbing and electric or construction, and the ability to vote in State and local elections. Another privilege they are granting is in state tuition, tuition assistance, and health care. It also grants the welfare system they are already on to legal status.
Other states have moved forward on their own with respect to tuition assistance and driver’s licenses, Rivera said, but no other state has considered such a broad package for its non-citizens.
The current legislative session ends on Thursday and Rivera said that he doesn’t expect the bill to pass before then. Rather, he said, he hopes the bill will start a conversation both in New York and nationally about immigration reform at the state level.
For our readers in New York, this may give you the chance to have your voice be heard before Thursday’s close of session.
