We have lost control of our government. It is our fault ultimately. What do we do about it?

Ultimately, yes, it is our fault. But, to be a self governing nation we have to be informed. Our media does not inform the public, it tries to mold it or tell it what it should be thinking about. I wish I had the quote from Benjamin Franklin regarding this. It was the reason for the free press.

I blame myself for not being more informed and active in the past. But with the power of the middle class vote I believe we can change the political direction of Washington. At this minute, I know more about how my Representatives & Senators vote & say than ever before. Also, I now know a lot about how other Representatives & Senators form other states are voting. I went most of my life and probably wrote one letter to my Reps.....now I have written over 30 in the past two weeks. From what I have read similar things are happening to others on this forum.

I am an optimist, but what scares me now is that we have the wrong President at the wrong time in history. So, we have to work that much harder to counteract his poor leadership on immigration issues.

I've been fighting the corrupt federal government for 11 years -- Congressional oversight is a joke ... the FBI and the "Justice" Department don't care about criminal activity ... we need to take back our government, starting in the state

Do I smell the potential for a third party?

OHHHHHH!! I hope there are enough people to get a third party going. The mood is right at the moment and I hope the momentum keeps going.

After they are all thrown out of office they should be forced to live in illegal alien communites. Mu ha ha ha

Some Benjamin Franklin quotes...Jeez, this guy is great!!

A nation of well informed men who have been taught to know and prize the rights which God has given them cannot be enslaved. It is in the region of ignorance that tyranny begins.

When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic

It is the fist responsibility of every citizen to question authority

Outside Independence Hall when the Constitutional Convention of 1787 ended, Mrs. Powel of Philadelphia asked Benjamin Franklin, "Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?" With no hesitation whatsoever, Franklin responded, "A republic, if you can keep it."

Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

Here is a short list that I have been working on. This is just from my own reading and some input from others on this forum. Also, this does not mean all listed are completely against any amnesty. It just represents those that at least seem to be willing to take a tougher stand than most on border security and punishment for employers. Most, but not all are Republicans, but I don't care about party so I did not list. I just want action.

If you can add or think some should be removed please feel free to comment.

    Representatives
    Rohrabacher – California
    King- New York
    Sensenbrenner- Wisconsin
    Baker- Louisiana
    Jindal- Louisiana
    Tancredo- Colorado
    Jones- North Carolina

    Senators
    Cornyn- Texas
    McConnell- Kentucky
    Kyl- Arizona
    Nelson- Florida
    Vitter- Louisiana
    Jeff Sessions- Alabama
