Letter From Senators Asking to Delay Immigration Bill

Isn't this an interesting letter, guys???

SIS pointed out to me the line "make any comprehensive immigration legislation publicly available online at least one week prior to moving it to the Senate floor". And, then we noted the signers: Craig, Hutchison, Grassley, DeMint, Inhofe and one has to wonder what these OBL jerks have up there sleeves????

Are they going to put out another piece of deception like the Flake/Gutierrez summary of the STRIVE Act and have us believe their bill is all about enforcement and border security???

There is something in this that smells really bad...these guys cannot be trusted. Maybe they are buying time for some reason????

Interesting. I have no idea what they are up to, but I am suspicious of anything they do regarding "immigration reform".

Amendments - John Cornyn is on the list too.

That came out of DeMints office on the Steering Committee Letterhead.

Inhofe is far from an OBL (i think), strange that he is on that list

Thinking we don't trust them as far as you can throw them! Inhofe is up for re-election, so he'd better watch his 'p's and q's'.

We've had difficulty with these so called 'leaders' NOT releasing TEXT to some legislation. Is this TEXT going to be thrown out as bait while other goodies are being crafted behind closed doors?

Asking for the text to be available is a very, very strange move on behalf of these people. Just about every single one of them have been playing footsy with the bush team on COMPREHENSIVE behind closed doors!

Sen. Sessions, Inhofe, and Grassely are not pro-illegal immigrant or open border advocates. It may be possible these folks want the American voters to have an opportunity to look at the bill before it reaches the floor. Furthermore, it would also give ALIPAC, NumbersUSA, and every other pro-legal immigrant group a chance to react. I think the letter is a good thing, however, I don't know if it'll get the desired results from Mr. Harry "Amnesty" Reid.

I know we have good reason to be gun-shy and I agree that we should be watching the weasels closely. However, on occasion a little faith may help us keep our sanity.
