Clinton Takes Stand on Driver’s License Issue (Sort Of)

In a recent sit-down interview with the board of The Nashua Telegraph, a leading New Hampshire newspaper, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton finally was asked what she thinks of Gov. Eliot Spitzer’s policy to allow illegal immigrants to get driver’s licenses.
Her answer? Judge for yourself:

I think it’s important to bring everybody out of the shadows. To do the background checks. To deport those who have outstanding warrants or have committed crimes in the United States, and then to say to those who wish to stay here, you have to pay back taxes, you have to pay a fine, you have to learn English, and you have to wait in line. And I hate to see any state being pushed to try to take this into their own hands, because the federal government has failed.
So I know exactly what Governor Spitzer’s trying to do and it makes a lot of sense, because he’s trying to get people out of the shadows. He’s trying to say, “O.K., come forward and we will give you this license.â€

This is the same woman who signed a letter to have Rush Limbaugh shut up because she doesn't like what he says. She wants to be President so she'll go along to get any vote she can and she'll sell the American citizen down the river and shut a private citizen up if she can.

Clinton is treating this issue like she has others, she's riding the fence. We all know she supports it, however, she is no dummy and will not vocally come out in support of it knowing that 72% of New York residents (legal residents) are against it. I despise the Hildabeast, however, I'm not naive enough to doubt her intelligence.

It has to be looked at comprehensively

So she believes in amnesty and apparently drivers licenses for illegals. No matter how much Hillary tries to spin this, she just poked a big stick in the eye of the middle class. We're going to have to work hard to beat her sophisticated spin machine and make sure the American people know she supports illegals over hard working citizens.

They can't even do what they have been talking about like get the criminals out of here and close the border, all they can do is throw that word COMPREHENSIVE around, That I have come to hate, because we all know their definition of that word is AMNESTY but the cowards won't use it!!!

There only answer to everything is make them legal and then we don't have to deal with them!! They (the Dems and Bush ) are working with these judges and special interest groups to keep stopping ICE from deporting these people... I just know it, especially now they can see attrition IS starting to work!

Quick Questions for Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton told the editorial board of the Nashua Telegraph that she knows exactly what “Gov. Spitzer's trying to do and it makes a lot of sense, because he's trying to get people out of the shadows." She went on to add, "He's trying to say, 'Okay, come forward and we will give you this [driver] license.'"

Question: What happens once someone comes forward out of the “shadowsâ€
