The Road to Impeachment Runs Through Syria

Confiscated sarin gas, taken from Al Qaeda 2 months ago not far from Syrian border

White House sources have told Fox News’ Chief Washington Correspondent James Rosen., that president Obama plans to launch an attack on Syria, even if congress votes against it. That is why he repeated several times that he believes he has the authority. But does he? Not according to the 1973 War Powers Act. (WPA)

The WPA clearly states that a president can act only if:
A) We are attacked
B) An attack is imminent

Syria has neither attacked the United States nor do they have a delivery system that would allow them to do so.

In his speech yesterday, Obama tried to paint Syria as a threat to attack the United States. He did not elaborate how. In fact, his speech was about the humanitarian obligation. That does not provide provocation to use the WPA. That would belong to the UN, which has already denied an attack.

And who would be the beneficiary of such an attack? Al Qaeda. In the history of the United States, Syria has never attacked us on our shores. By contrast, Al Qaeda has. On September 11th, 2001, Al Qaeda murdered 2977 people, including 343 firefighters, 60 police, and 2 paramedics. Another 6294 people were wounded, including about 2,000 first responders.

Al Qaeda has also killed, wounded and maimed US citizens around the world, including Ambassador Chris Stevens and 3 other people at the compound in Benghazi. Another two dozen or so were wounded.

The Obama administration assures us that they have irrefutable proof that Assad ordered the sarin gas attacks. They have also assured us they had irrefutable evidence that the Benghazi attacks were made because of a 12 minute Internet movie, two rogue agents in Cincinnati were responsible for the IRS targeting of Tea Party groups, that Eric Holder knew nothing about the Fast and Furious program and that under Obamacare, you can keep your insurance and doctors. We now know these were intentional lies. Do we believe them now?

Irrefutable? Like global warming? The intelligence community doesn’t think so. (And some of the people interviewed for the AP story works for Obama) According to an AP story, intelligence can’t even determine who has control of Syria’s WMDs. If you don’t know that, how can you possibly say irrefutably that Syria was responsible and not Al Qaeda?

And are you aware that Al Qaeda has a history of manufacturing poison gas? In June of this very year, Al Qaeda fighters in Iraq were caught manufacturing poison gas, which they intended to smuggle into the United States and Europe. Three workshops full. And what gases were they manufacturing? Mustard and sarin. Iraq shares a long border with Syria. Who can say for sure, that gas did not come from there?

More importantly, who would benefit the most from a gas attack? Not Syria. They’ve been struggling to keep other countries out of the conflict. Here is an interesting article (which I wrote) that outlines who stood to benefit from the attack and why Syria had no reason to use the gas.

Here is an exerpt from Obama’s speech:

“Make no mistake — this has implications beyond chemical warfare. If we won’t enforce accountability in the face of this heinous act, what does it say about our resolve to stand up to others who flout fundamental international rules? To governments who would choose to build nuclear arms? To terrorist who would spread biological weapons? To armies who carry out genocide?”

Excellant question. But if he truly believes that, then why aren’t we planning an attack on the Al Qaeda fighters from the Benghazi Al Qaeda terrorist training camp, instead of Syria? Al Qaeda has, is, and will be a threat to the United States as long as they and we exist. And considering the fact that the president has done little or nothing to stem Iran from developing nuclear weapons, his statement is facetious at best and dishonest at worst.

So where does all this leave us? The answer is simple. If Obama attacks Syria after congress rejects his request (assuming they do) then he is guilty of violating the War Powers Act, a crime punishable by impeachment. In aiding Al Qaeda in Syria, like he did in Libya, you could make an excellant case for aiding and abetting the enemy, which is also grounds for impeachment as well as treason. And should we learn later that Al Qaeda was responsible for the attack, perjury. Also an impeachable offense

Iraq uncovers al-Qaeda 'chemical weapons plot'

The authorities in Iraq say they have uncovered an al-Qaeda plot to use chemical weapons, as well as to smuggle them to Europe and North America.
Defence ministry spokesman Mohammed al-Askari said five men had been arrested after military intelligence monitored their activities for three months.
Three workshops for manufacturing the chemical agents, including sarin and mustard gas, were uncovered, he added.
Remote-controlled toy planes were also seized at the workshops.
Mr Askari said they were to have been used to release the chemical agents over the target from a "safe" distance of 1.5km (1 mile), reports the BBC's Rami Ruhayem in Baghdad.
All of the arrested men had confessed to the plot and said they had received instruction from another al-Qaeda offshoot, he added.
As the defence ministry spokesman spoke on Iraqi TV, footage was shown of four men with black hoods on their heads, our correspondent adds.
Three of them were wearing bright yellow jumpsuits and a fourth was in a brown jumpsuit.



All of the arrested men have allegedly confessed

Their arrests were possible because of co-operation between Iraqi and foreign intelligence services, Mr Askari said.

Chlorine bombs

Al-Qaeda in Iraq is believed to be the only offshoot of the Islamist militant network to have used chemical weapons.
It detonated 16 crude chlorine bombs in Iraq between October 2006 and June 2007.
Chlorine inhalation made many hundreds of people sick, but no deaths resulting from exposure to the chemical were recorded, US officials said at the time. Instead, the bomb blasts are believed to have caused the fatalities.
At the time, US officials said al-Qaeda appeared to want to use debilitating agents like chlorine in their bombs to cause casualties beyond those hit by the initial explosion.
US and Iraqi troops subsequently killed or detained many of the militants who were building the chlorine-laced bombs and seized much of their stockpiled chemicals.
A letter written by the late al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden five days before he was killed in a US military raid in Pakistan in 2011 urged members of the group's offshoot in Yemen who he believed were considering using "poison" to be "careful of doing it without enough study of all aspects, including political and media reaction", according to CNN.

And for some damn reason there are mentally challenged people in this country that want to support Al Qaeda with Arms; not only that they want America to enact a NO FLY ZONE over Syria which would actually serve as Al Qaeda's Air Force and our Navy Slinging Tomahawk Missiles to take out heavy sites

Obama and a small number of interventionist members of Congress are pushing hard to escalate our involvement in Syria - directly and indirectly.

Right now, the Obama Administration is ramping up its efforts against the Syrian Government after having expressly blamed them for the recent chemical attacks near Damascus, despite the fact that the act of terror has the Syrian Rebels fingerprints all over it.

In addition to asking Congress to Declare War against Syria, Obama wants our tax dollars to fund and arm Bashar al-Assad's opposition, the "Free Syrian Army" - rebel forces comprised of al Qaeda terrorists and dangerous, radical Islamists.

No matter how loud Obama and his cronies beat their war drums, the United States Congress must prevent the Administration from providing terrorists -- our so-called "allies" -- with funds and weapons.

Under no circumstance should U.S. tax-dollars be used to underwrite terrorism and subsidize Christian genocide!

Funding the Rebels means Subsidizing Terrorism

The Free Syrian Army is comprised of ex-Syrian Armed Forces members and terrorists - ninety-five percent of whom are not even Syrian, according to international law professor Daoud Khairallah.

Jabhat al-Nusra, for example, a radical Salafist faction of the Free Syrian Army, originated in Iraq and is an arm of al-Qaeda.

Though al-Nusra refuses to acknowledge its true origins, the group has openly pledged allegiance to its Iraq parent, one responsible for killing Americans.

The federal government declared al-Nusra a terrorist entity in December of 2012.

Further confirming the rebels' ties with al-Qaeda, the Free Syrian Army's "Hawks of Damascus" employ a Bin-Laden Brigade in honor of their former leader.



While Sen. Bob Menendez claims that the rebels are fighting for a "Free Syria," what he fails to mention is that their goal is radical Sharia Law which directly threatens Christians, particular Muslim Sects, and seculars.

Even the New York Times recognizes the overt "religious agenda" of the rebels - the Times reported earlier this year that "nowhere in rebel-controlled Syria is there a secular fighting force to speak of."

Barack Obama - along with Sens. John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Bob Menendez, and Bob Corker - wishes to directly provide "lethal assistance" to these Syrian terrorist rebels, from small arms to anti-aircraft devices. Moreover, while there are already at least 200 U.S. troops in Jordan postured to intervene in the Syrian Conflict, Obama may send an additional 20,000 U.S. soldiers.

The United States Congress must act right now and stop Obama from intervening in the Syrian Conflict - no funding or arming Syrian terrorists!

Funding the Rebels means Subsidizing Christian Genocide

If the United States Congress doesn't act, Barack Obama will use tax dollars and American weapons to furnish the Free Syrian Army and their anti-Christian genocide.

Since the civil war began, at least 1,000 Syrian Christians have been killed by the very same people that Barack Obama and John McCain see as our "allies."

Near the city of Homs, the Free Syrian Army invaded the village of al-Duwayr and massacred a number of Christians - "where they immediately executed a man and his daughter in their home and burned their bodies."

"The fighters reportedly also occupied the village church from where snipers began firing at terrified civilians," reports BosLifeNews, "killing an- 11-year-old boy and a girl of 18, and injuring some 10 people, two seriously."

The Free Syrian Army's late-May attacks on Christian men, women, and children near Homs would have likely continued if it had not been for the intervention of the Syrian Army loyal to Bashar al Assad.

The Free Syrian Army's targeted killings has resulted in a mass exodus of Christians from Syria - as of now between 300,000 and 400,000 have fled the country.

According to a June WND report, the Syrian rebels give Christians the following options:

"1. renounce the ‘idolatry' of Christianity and convert to Islam; 2. pay a heavy tribute to the Muslims for the privilege of keeping their heads and their Christian faith (this tribute is known as jizya); 3. be killed; 4. flee for their lives, leaving all their belongings behind."

The report continues:

"Some Christians were killed, some fled, some tried to pay the jizya and found it too heavy a burden to bear after the rebels kept increasing the amount they had to pay, and some were unable to flee or pay, so they converted to Islam to save themselves."

Former Muslim Brotherhood member turned Christian Walid Shoebat says, "more than 40 churches and other Christian institutions (schools, orphanages, and care homes) have been damaged or destroyed" by the Free Syrian Army since 2011.

In his report June 26 address on the House floor, Representative Chris Smith said that "entire communities are at risk of being forced out of the country or of being killed inside the country... with communities believing--not without cause--that they face an existential threat."

As Barack Obama prepares to ship American weapons to the Free Syrian Army, we must demand our elected servants in the United States Congress to stop him and pass the "Protecting Americans from the Proliferation of Weapons to Terrorists Act of 2013."

No weapons to terrorists! No weapons to Christian genocide!

Stopping the President from Arming our Enemies

Recently a piece of legislation was introduced into the U.S. House and Senate aimed at stopping Obama from arming the Syrian rebel terrorists.

A simple three-page bill, the "Protecting Americans from the Proliferation of Weapons to Terrorists Act of 2013" - H.R. 2494 and S. 1201 - would "prohibit the President from using any funds on activities that would escalate U.S. involvement in the Syrian civil war."

This bipartisan effort to keep our arms out of Syria is sponsored by Rep. Christopher Gibson (NY-19), Rep. Michele Bachmann (MN-6), Rep. Scott DesJarlais (TN-4), Rep. Jeff Duncan (SC-3), Rep. Jeff Fortenberry (NE-1), Rep. Rush Holt (NJ-12), Rep. Walter B. Jones, Jr. (NC-3), Rep. Richard M. Nolan (MN-, Rep. Mark Pocan (WI-2), and Rep. Peter Welch (VT).

In the U.S. Senate, the bill has the support of Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT), and Sen. Tom Udall (D-NM).

Sen. Mike Lee says: "Any military involvement in Syria, including the arming of Syrian rebels, needs to be authorized through Congress, where concerns can be publicly debated and the American people can have a say. We have to ensure that we are not arming extremist groups who seek to cause chaos in the region and harm the United States and our allies. The long-term objectives of increased involvement in Syria are vague, as are the necessary commitments and costs. The United States cannot be involved in more nation building in the Middle East."

"The President's unilateral decision to arm Syrian rebels is incredibly disturbing," says Sen. Rand Paul. "Engaging in yet another conflict in the Middle East with no vote or Congressional oversight compounds the severity of this situation. The American people deserve real deliberation by their elected officials before we send arms to a region rife with extremists who seek to threaten the U.S. and her allies."

As President Obama plans to ship money and expensive military equipment to the Syrian rebels without the authorization of Congress, we need to take action, rally our elected servants, and demand that they stop him.

Not America's Conflict

Syria has been embroiled in a civil war since March, 2011 and Obama now wants the United States to intervene.

While Obama believes it is in America's interest to arm the rebel forces in Syria - the "Free Syrian Army" - this simply isn't true.

George Washington famously warned against American engaging in the foreign affairs of other nations. In his farewell address, he urged us not to "entangle our peace and prosperity" with foreign nations' affairs and said to avoid all alliances except in situations of "extraordinary emergency."

Sadly, we have long forgotten Washington's maxims as our history - especially the last century - is testimony of it.

Now is the time to remember.

American money and arms to foreign causes thousands of miles from our shores must be put to an end... especially in situations where are aid is resulting in the mass-killings of innocent people at the hands of terrorists.

Members of the United States Congress are already postured to block Obama's aid to the Syrian rebels, but they need the support of more of their colleagues.

This is where we play a very important role: we need to fax, call, and message our U.S. Representatives and Senators demanding that they support S. 1201 and H.R. 2494 to stop Obama from funding the Free Syrian Army!
