This is Stephen with Project Veritas Action.
James just called me and asked me to get in touch with you.
We expected backlash from our work over the past few weeks and now we have it.
Yesterday "James O'Keefe" was the #2 trending topic on Facebook. That's a pretty big deal.
Americans were more interested in our work than they were with Honey Boo Boo. By the way, I think that's a great sign for our country because I've watched that show . . . once.
But that one event put a massive target on James' back.
A day later, a Greenpeace official featured in our investigation was fired.
And within minutes, James' personal Facebook account was shut down.
Impact . . . reaction.
As I was typing this email to you, a reporter for a major US publication wrote Facebook to ask why James' account was shut down and noted that he found the timing "amusing."
Minutes later, it was back up.
No explanation from Facebook.
There's a danger in "breaking through" the media and reaching the masses directly.
That's what has happened in the last few days, and we expect more "amusing" things to happen . . . and soon.
We need another way to communicate with you and for now, James has asked that you follow Project Veritas Action on Twitter.
Facebook is a little risky at the moment and who knows if our emails will continue to reach you.
So, please hit Twitter and follow @PVeritas_Action as soon as you can.
I'll email you again in the next few days with more concrete steps on how we can remain in contact with each other.
I appreciate your time and support for James and Project Veritas Action.
Sincerely,
Stephen
Project Veritas Action
P.S. Facebook shutdown James' Facebook account today without explanation. It's back up now but we've received no explanation. To ensure we stay in touch, please follow us on Twitter as soon as you can. Our account is PVeritas_action. Thanks! |
