You’ll Never Guess What Eric Holder Banned FBI From “Considering” When Investigating Terrorism

Conservative Tribune — The Department of Justice is supposed to be an impartial agency that enforces the laws of our nation, however, it seems that religion as part of an investigation into possible terrorism is now off limits.
Unfortunately, Attorney General Eric Holder seems to always be injecting his personal bias about race and his liberal agenda into the roles of the FBI and other Federal law enforcement agencies, like when he recently told schools to stop punishing minority students more than white students, even if they were breaking the rules more.
Holder infamously called America “a nation of cowards” when it comes to discussing race, ignoring the fact that liberal race-baiters constantly twist and distort any comments made by conservatives in the national discussion on racism.
Eric Holder has even imposed his views on religion in the Justice Department, refusing to enforce the Defense of Marriage act and pushing states to overturn their own versions of the federal law, for which he is being sued by a number of GOP state Attorney Generals.
He is now injecting his ideology about religion into national security matters, rewriting the FBI’s rules on investigating terrorism.
According to the New York Times:
The Justice Department will significantly expand its definition of racial profiling to prohibit federal agents from considering religion, national origin, gender and sexual orientation in their investigations, a government official said Wednesday.
The move addresses a decade of criticism from civil rights groups that say federal authorities have in particular singled out Muslims in counterterrorism investigations and Latinos for immigration investigations.
In the past, Mr. Holder has spoken out forcefully against profiling. “Racial profiling is wrong,” he said in a 2010 speech. “It can leave a lasting scar on communities and individuals. And it is, quite simply, bad policing — whatever city, whatever state.”
As written, the Justice Department’s rules prohibit federal agents from using race as a factor in their investigations unless there is specific, credible information that makes race relevant to a case.
While the rules directly control only federal law enforcement activities, their indirect effect is much broader, said Fahd Ahmed, the legal director of the Queens-based South Asian immigrant advocacy group Desis Rising Up and Moving.
For instance, he said, immigration bills in Congress have copied the Justice Department profiling language. And civil rights groups can use the rules to pressure state and local agencies to change their policies.
“Federal guidelines definitely have an impact,” Mr. Ahmed said. “Local organizers can say, ‘These policies are not in line with what’s coming from the federal level.’ ”
With these rule changes, Eric Holder is only pandering to Muslim and illegal immigrant advocacy groups. The FBI already had rules in place prohibiting the sole use of race or religion as the basis for an investigation. By furthering restricting the use of these common sense factors in investigations, Holder has tied the hands of the FBI and made their job harder.
His actions also border on a violation of states rights, as he has empowered advocacy groups to attack state and local law enforcement procedures by setting federal precedent.
Nobody likes racial or religious profiling, and as stated before, there were already rules against their sole use. But it is foolish to prevent those factors from even being considered in conjunction with other evidence, when the overwhelming majority of terrorism suspects belong to a specific religion and the vast majority of illegal immigrants belong to a certain racial background.
