British newspaper calls Obama “ineffectual, invisible, the weakest president in history”

by editor on March 23, 2011

Pip, pip, cheerio, chaps. Blimey, guv-nah! (Sorry, but that’s the best we can do at faking that language they speak in the United Kingdom).

The Express UK says what American newspapers are so hesitant to say, in an article entitled, “BARACK OBAMA: THE WEAKEST PRESIDENT IN HISTORY?”:

When the Brits said, "It's tea time," President Obama said, "Let's play 18."
INEFFECTUAL, invisible, unable to honour pledges and now blamed for letting Gaddafi off the hook. Why Obama’s gone from ‘Yes we can’ to ‘Er, maybe we shouldn’t’

Let us cast our minds back to those remarkable days in November 2008 when the son of a Kenyan goatherd was elected to the White House. It was a bright new dawn – even brighter than the coming of the Kennedys and their new Camelot. JFK may be considered as being from an ethnic and religious minority – Irish and Catholic – but he was still very rich and very white. Barack Obama, by contrast, was a true breakthrough president. The world would change because obviously America had changed.

Obama’s campaign slogan was mesmerisingly simple and brimming with self-belief: “Yes we can.” His presidency, however, is turning out to be more about “no we won’t.” Even more worryingly, it seems to be very much about:

“Maybe we can… do what, exactly?“ The world feels like a dangerous place when leaders are seen to lack certitude but the only thing President Obama seems decisive about is his indecision.

What should the US do about Libya? What should the US do about the Middle East in general? What about the country’s crippling debts? What is the US going to do about Afghanistan, about Iran?

What is President Obama doing about anything? The most alarming answer – your guess is as good as mine – is also, frankly, the most accurate one. What the President is not doing is being clear, resolute and pro-active, which is surely a big part of his job description.

Amazing, isn’t it, that people who have English as a second language would be able to state the situation so clearly.

Obama The Worst Economic Disaster Of Any President Ever

Posted on 6 July, 2013 by Amy

Obama Falls Flat on the Economy

By SHERMAN FREDERICK, LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL

You don’t have to be a financial whiz to know that the economy isn’t good. Times are tough, and they’ve been tough for some time. The middle class has shrunk; wealth has diminished; poverty is up; and unemployment, especially for minorities, is nothing short of miserable.

But how bad is it, really?

Up until very recently, this was hard to quantify and thus became in large part a political argument. Today, however, enough time has passed that economists now have data points to scientifically put President Barack Obama’s economic policy in its proper place.

On the old legacy-o-meter, things aren’t looking good for Obama and his supporters, who so desperately wanted him to succeed…

…In an article for Investor’s Business Daily, Anderson writes: “Prior to Obama, the second term of President Bush featured the weakest gains in the gross domestic product in some time, with average annual (inflation-adjusted) GDP growth of just 1.9 percent … but average annual real GDP growth during Obama’s entire first term was less than half as much at a pitiful 0.8 percent.”

That performance will establish Obama firmly as the worst president ever on the economy.

Obama’s GDP growth is less than half as much as the worst president in the past 60 years.

Let that process slowly. That means that if President Obama could go back in time and find a way to double his GDP performance, he’d still hold the record for the worst economic president in the past 60 years.
