This was not a "road rage" incident.

For many months now, a gang of motorcycle thugs has had completely free run of New York City streets.

I've personally observed them three different times since June in three different locations.

They speed, they run in and out of traffic, the blow through red lights, they menace drivers and pedestrians alike.

And what has the legendary NYPD done about it?

You know...the force that's so good a beating down non-violent demonstrators and providing cover for Napoleon "Little Caesar" Bloomberg and his friends.

They've done absolutely nothing.

Now the excuses are coming out...

"It's too dangerous to go after them..." "They don't pull over when ordered." I kid you not. These are exact quotes.

Ray Kelly, the genius lawman claims to be protecting New York City from terrorism (an operation with a multi-billion dollar graft-ridden price tag), and he can't even break up a wide open, in-your-face motorcycle gang.

Pathetic, truly pathetic.

Remember those "brave" NYPD officers
who are always so good at beating down and
pepper spraying non-violent protestors?

Well, they've decided it's "too dangerous"

An off-duty undercover NYPD cop was among the pack of bikers who chased a family up the West Side Highway — and he stood by as the dad was hauled from his car and beaten, sources told The Post.

The unidentified officer waited three days to come forward Wednesday night. He has been placed on modified duty and turned in his gun and badge on Friday, the sources said.

He rides with the New Rochelle-based Front Line Soldiers, a club that also counts several other cops among its members, a source said.

Internal Affairs is investigating whether those cops, too, were among the bikers — and whether they also witnessed the assault that left Internet exec Alexian Lien bleeding on the pavement as his wife and toddler cowered in their black Range Rover.

“It does not appear that he got involved at the scene,” one law-enforcement source said of the undercover, who has hired a lawyer. “He didn’t want to blow his cover,” said the source — though the cop was not investigating the group of bikers.

Cops have uncovered new photo and video evidence showing that Lien was attacked by as many as five bikers, sources said.
One of those bikers was allegedly Robert Sims, 35, of Brooklyn. A source said he was taken into custody Friday afternoon.

“Apparently he hit the guy,” the source said.

Reginald Chance, 38, of Brooklyn — depicted in video using his chrome-colored helmet to bash in Lien’s driver’s-side window — was also in custody Friday awaiting charges.

There is no evidence that he beat or slashed Lien, but Chance faces possible charges of gang assault, a source said.

Several other bikers at the center of the beatdown were also wearing chrome-colored helmets, hampering the investigation into Chance, a source said.
But the new stills and footage — which surfaced from non-biker Samaritans who pulled over to help Lien — have helped with the investigation.

Prosecutors re-interviewed the Liens on Friday afternoon and also planned on taking a closer look at the black Range Rover that was pursued from 125th Street up to 178th Street.

The battered vehicle was moved via flatbed Friday afternoon from a police lot to the 33rd Precinct in Washington Heights, where the investigation is based.
The Range Rover’s smashed windows are a record of the vehemence with which the berserk bikers tried to get at Lien, whose window was busted clean out.
Wife Rosalyn’s window was fully spider-webbed, and the rear window above the tailgate was also broken out completely.

The length of time it’s taken to start throwing thug bikers in handcuffs has irritated some investigators, who fault prosecutors for what they characterize as the DA’s methodical, wait-for-felony-evidence approach.

“You should slap them with the charges that you can prove, whether they’re lesser or more serious charges,” said one cop. “Later on, you can always upgrade or downgrade the charges.”

By late Friday, only one biker had been charged in the rampage despite videos, still photos and non-biker witness accounts from the broad-daylight attack.
Christopher Cruz, 28, of Passaic, NJ, faces misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and imprisonment for suddenly slowing his bike in front of the Range Rover, causing the fender-bender blamed for sparking the chase and violence.
Meanwhile, the only biker injured during the rampage threatened he may sue Lien for running him over with the Range Rover when he hit the gas as his SUV was first surrounded.

“He was attempting to diffuse the situation,” lawyer Gloria Allred said of Edwin Mieses, 32, whom she said may be paralyzed from the waist down “for the rest of his life.”

Mieses hasn’t had a valid license in his home state of Massachusetts since 1999, and haas never applied for a motorcycle license.

The organizer of the wild motorbike rally that terrorized a West Side family runs a website taunting the NYPD — from the safety of his mommy’s home in Queens, The Post has learned.

Jamie Lao, 29, has been orchestrating the annual group “crotch rocket” rides through city streets since at least 2007 through his now-suspended websites, HollywoodStuntz.net and Blockstarzent.net, which are registered to his parents’ Ozone Park home.

This year’s motorcycle rager led to the beatdown of Alexian Lien in front of his horrified wife and toddler.

Leo bragged just before a 2010 event that he had “no worries from the NYPD” and has posted scores of YouTube videos showing hundreds of bikers tearing down city streets en masse, popping wheelies and revving their engines as they go, with nary a cop in sight.

Lao’s Twitter account, @hollywoodstuntz, features a picture of a rider on a blue Yamaha, its front wheel raised defiantly to the sky with an NYPD squad car in the background.

A neighbor said it is Lao in the photo.

“It’s not his fault,” Lao’s dad, Juan, said of Sunday’s violence, defending his son, who scampered through a back entrance of the home Thursday and hid in the house to avoid a reporter.

Apparently more comfortable behind a computer screen, Lao hit Facebook, Twitter and forums like bikenightusa.com, stuntlife.com and stuntride.com, urging bikers across the country to attend his annual “Hollywood’s Block Party” and “tear up the streets.”

Asked if his son was involved in the incident, Juan Lao said Jamie didn’t attend, adding “you’re just wasting your time.”

But several neighbors said the rally started at the Lao’s two-family house on 103rd Avenue.

“There was about 300-400 bikes,” said one neighbor who asked not to be named. “It’s disturbing to see 300 bikes, the neighbors were terrified. All the smoke went into the houses. Everybody was traumatized.”

Another said bikers congregated at the Lao’s “all day long.”

“They were very noisey and they were on top of the cars and everywhere. It was terrible.”

“Oh my god I hate them. For the past 4-5 years he’s been an absolute nuisance. They are annoying as hell,” said neighbor Jennifer Rodriguez, 36. She claims Lao and his biker buddies have terrorized her family.

“It’s been a nightmare. My mom is handicapped and my dad has a heart condition,” she said. “They [bikers] will go up to her and like play chicken, trying to scare her.”

“Sunday the whole street was covered,” Rodriguez said. “They cover all the sidewalks. People with kids and with dogs, they go right up to them like they are trying to scare them. You can’t say anything or else they will start a fight. I had to go out on Sunday and I had to wait 20 minutes until they left.”

“They scratch cars, they bump into them, they have no regard.”

Retired firefighter Distinio Lois, 77, defended Lao.

“He’s a good kid. He’s a motorcycle enthusiast. I have known the family for years, they are good, hard working people,” Distinio said. “You can’t help if there is a bad apple in the group. If a friend did what they did, he’s not responsible. You can’t turn around the blame if he’s the head [of the rally.]“

“They never bother anybody,” he said of the bikers that come to the house every year. “They are respectful, they don’t leave anything behind. It’s just a social gathering until they go away.”

On his website, Lao brags that he is “on his way to stardom” and calls his events an opportunity to “show off the most insane stunts the thousands of bystanders have ever seen.”

A YouTube video of Lao’s 2012 NYC rally depicts hundreds of bikers – men and women – on motorcycles and three-wheeled ATVs speeding through Midtown in broad daylight, weaving through both lanes of traffic, popping wheelies and blowing through red lights as stunned pedestrians gaped from the sidewalks.
This year, cops — who confirmed that Hollywood Stuntz organized Sunday’s terror ride — were waiting for the mob and prevented them from taking over Times Square, busting several and confiscating a number of motorcycles.
Lao also posted footage of a Halloween ride from last year, where riders roared from Brooklyn to Manhattan, hogging roads and swerving dangerously close to cars.

Neighbors said they didn’t see the NYPD outside Lao’s house Sunday – but cops did make a stop at Charlie’s Chop Shop, an Astoria motorcycle shop where Lao and his pals, including rapper Meek Mills, are regulars.

On Thursday, Charlie’s had its gates pulled down and appeared closed, but bikers and mechanics were in and out of the store.

“There were dozens of cops here on Sunday,” said Jimmy Katsaros, 50, who works next door at GoPro, a plumbing firl. “They pulled in looking to check out the chop shop…There were guys on bikes right outside and they sped off.
“They didn’t want any part of those cops.”

“This is very bad for everyone involved,” said another GoPro worker. “It’s all wrong.”

Henry Jiang, 21, pulled up to Charlie’s on his Kawasaki Ninja 300. He said he isn’t affiliated with the Hollywood Stuntz crew, but defended them and blamed the road rage on Lien.

“The media has been spinning it in a way that makes all motorcyclists look bad,” he said.

“The entire situation could have been handled differently. I don’t roll with that crew [Hollywood Stuntz] but I feel that they shouldn’t be labeled as thugs because of a few bad apples. The biker that got the most hurt was innocent.
“ You shouldn’t judge a person because they are on a bike. There are lots if reckless drivers in cars too.”

“I feel that most of the fault was with the driver of the SUV. Maybe it could have all been talked out. He didn’t have to hit the gas and take out everyone. That was reckless.”

The NYPD is asking for help in identifying four men involved in the Sept. 29 pursuit and beating of SUV driver Alexian Lien. Craig Wright, one of the riders who attacked lien, was arraigned and charged Tuesday with assault, while a police source said a video contradicted an undercover cop’s claim that he was not involved in the damage done to Lien’s vehicle.

The NYPD released photos of three new suspects wanted in a Manhattan motorcycle mob’s brutal attack on a dad taking a Sunday drive with his wife and baby daughter.
The quartet of wanted men were all wearing biker gear and sporting motorcycle helmets in the photos made public Tuesday afternoon.
None of the fugitive suspects were identified and police asked for the public’s help in putting names to the faces.

A pack of bikers pummeled the vehicle of Alexian Lien on Sept. 29 after a traffic altercation escalated into a high-speed chase around Manhattan.


The victim’s wife and 2-year-old daughter watched in horror as a day that started as a wedding anniversary celebration ended in terror.
Defense attorney Mitchell Elman entered a not guilty plea on his client’s behalf and noted that Wright had no criminal record.

The suspect “lost his job in the last year and has been looking for gainful employment,” Elman said. “As you can see, he’s absolutely no flight risk.”
Wright’s driving record was less sparkling, with arrests for reckless driving in 2005 and driving without a license in 2011.
Wright is one of four motorcyclists charged in the assault on Lien, who was driving with his family when he bumped a motorcyclist on the Henry Hudson Parkway.

While the cop claimed the beatdown was breaking up when he reached the scene, the seconds-long video clip caught him joining the bikers who surrounded the Manhattan family in their SUV.

“It shows him punching the back window, and then as the camera is moving, it catches him maybe throwing a kick at the side of the car,” the source said.
“Once the beating starts you can see him hop on the bike and take off,” the source said. “So he's not involved in the assault, but he lied. He wasn't truthful.”
The unidentified undercover told police brass that Good Samaritans were helping the Range Rover’s driver and witnesses were calling police when he reached the scene at W. 178th St., sources said.

The detective claimed he drove away without taking any action to keep from blowing his cover, sources said.

Biker Gang Attacks, Cries When Victim Fights Back

When Alexian Lien of Manhattan, his wife and child went out in their family SUV, they didn't expect to soon be fleeing for their lives.
In the early afternoon Sunday, near W. 125th St. in Harlem, the Liens were suddenly surrounded by a pack of bikers, a gang known to police as the Hollywood Stuntz.

The result of the encounter was Lien and one of the bikers in intensive care after Lien was dragged from his car and beaten to a bloody pulp in front of his family.

According to the bikers, the confrontation began when Lien ran into one of their group and drove off. Christopher Cruz, 28, of Passaic, N.J., who is out on bail, has been identified as the biker who "brake-checked" Lien's SUV, starting the whole incident. Cruz maintains he was trying to get Lien to let his entire group of motorcyclists pass.

It's been suggested that the gang may have been attempting to mug the family with a classic "crash for cash" scam and the plan went awry.
According to witnesses,Cruz deliberately pulled in front of the Liens' SUV as it was moving and slammed on his brakes. A YouTube video made by one of the bikers shows the gang forcing Lien to pull over and approaching the SUV. But then Lien is seen accelerating and running over at least one motorcyclist as the other bikers take off in pursuit. According to police, Lien stepped on the gas when he was surrounded by the gang, who started hitting his car and apparently slashing his tires.

Biker Edwin Mieses is in the hospital, paralyzed and in a coma. Family and friends have gone public with accusations against Lien and calls that he be made to "pay." They have started a Facebook page to drum up support for the biker.

The motorcycle gang, which has a record of crimes and public misconduct, according to the NYPD, chased Lien and his family for several miles until he was forced to pull over because of the damage to his tires.

The hoodlums then smashed the driver's side window, pulled Lien from the truck and beat him severely.

Police are working to identify all the motorcyclists from security videos, but many of the bikes are stolen or have had their license plates changed.
Online sympathy is favoring Lien, who was doing what was necessary to protect his family. Several people have suggested he should have run over more of the bikers, and after watching the video, it's easy to see how that sentiment has come about.

This is a perfect example of why honest citizens need to be able to carry guns on their person and in their cars.
If Lien had a gun, things could have turned out much differently. If our government encouraged law-abiding residents to carry weapons, gangs of thugs would not be freely roaming city streets.

But this was New York, home of some of the most restrictive gun laws anywhere. That means the criminals have free reign and citizens get to flee in terror.

The police have said they won't charge Lien. Unless some new information comes up, it appears Lien was not just well within his rights but was RIGHT to run over that biker and defend his family.

As John Locke said, "[It is] reasonable and just I should have a right to destroy that which threatens me with destruction; for by the fundamental law of Nature, man being to be preserved as much as possible, when all cannot be preserved, the safety of the innocent is to be preferred, and one may destroy a man who makes war upon him, or has discovered an enmity to his being, for the same reason that he may kill a wolf or a lion, because they are not under the ties of the common law of reason, have no other rule but that of force and violence, and so may be treated as a beast of prey, those dangerous and noxious creatures that will be sure to destroy him whenever he falls into their power."

We need a return to our country's founding principles so that families like the Leins don't have to live in fear.
