    Whats Worse

Is that the Healthcare Education Industry is trying to Push Americans AWAY from becoming nurses. They outright discourage it...Try to become a nurse and tell us how that works out and how they encourage it.../laugh

Just another way to globalize reject Americans and encourage and import foreign workers....disgusting

Looking over that list of donors is interesting. Our tax dollars are being used to recruit foreign nurses.

The State of California Employment Development Department....of all people ....donated 100K PLUS.The U.S. Department of Education also donated a like amount.

And of course Kaiser. Yes...why would Kaiser want to hire American nurses? Of course they are involved. They are also in the 100K PLUS category.

    Notice it is 100K PLUS

Then in the 50K PLUS category we have California Department of Education, San Francisco Human Services and the San Francisco Unified School District. All taxpayer money. ALL OF IT.

In the 25K PLUS category, we have California Pacific Medical Center and San Francisco Foundation (SF Public Health). I guess they prefer foreign nurses as well.

Even UCSF and UCSF Med Center donated. Um...havent they just increased tuition 32%? But they have money to bring in AND EDUCATE FOREIGN NURSES. What about educating American nurses?

I think there has been consensus that the US has a shortage of nurses. I have seen a few articles about it recently. I am sure that the "progressive" community in California would think this is particularly acute there, considering the population growth, even if it is from illegals.

In our area there is a huge preparation--involving public expenditures---for 'population growth' based upon what academic experts are telling them. It's all part of the agenda to turn the US into a multicultural haven....so, most areas are being told to expect more people.

The Bank of America gave $50K - they took bailout money, and again are on financial skids. This is ridiculous.

If they invested in scholarships (like J&J) for US CITIZENS to go to school to get nursing degrees, I would not think twice or complain.

I had a service-cancellable loan (work one year for each year of the loan, given by the State) and also had a "loan" from the hospital I went to work for, work one year for each year of the loan. Graduated with no money owed.

But to encourage foreign nurses, and only foreign nurses, has more to do with wanting to cut pay rather than increase working nurses.

GOOD POINT. OMG. How could I forget about the bailout money? Yes of course. They donated this money in bailout year. For foreign nurses.....when they said they were so broke.
