Criminal Justice Reform bill would allow criminal aliens to be released from federal prisons -- Call your Senators and urge them to keep criminal aliens in jail!
The House of Representatives has already passed a criminal justice reform bill, H.R. 5682, and the Senate could begin debate on the legislation before the end of this week.
A troubling provision in H.R. 5682 would allow the Bureau of Prisons to transfer convicted illegal aliens from federal prisons to house arrest. House arrest is designed to help prisoners adjust to the outside world, which is inapplicable to illegal aliens because they should be deported after their sentences have been served.
Moreover, moving illegal aliens to house arrest would allow them to disappear before ICE can deport them.
