Thread: Looking for Border Patrol officers

I'm writing a commercial report on border control. I'd like to speak with a couple current or former agents but can't find them through official channels. It's apparently not allowed by policy.

I'm working to document agents' opinions of air support (such as surveillance, radio relay, etc.) they want so as to supplement the Homeland Security official position on that support.

Special-Ed, you are kidding, right? Why would you expect anyone at ALIPAC to have inside info to border agents?
Writing a commercial report? For whom?
And if you can't find the agents through formal means, why come here?

I don't expect inside information, I hope that some current or former agents will read the post and decide to help document what capabilities would work best in the field. If you know anything about that work, then you know how serious is the animosity between field agents and parts of management. That problem tends to seriously filter or block information, such as true needs in the field. Therefore, there's a need to balance official statements with insight directly from agents.

Nope. I helped create The Patriot's Fund just after we began taking casualties in Afghanistan years ago. We worked to financially support the spouses of deceased troops until the law changed to its current payments.

Sorry, I missed that part. I work for the Market Intel Group, which is a spin off of a much older commercial report writing firm. I specialize in aviation issues while other writers take care of various security and defense topics.
