Thread: Crowds Gather Across the Country for Pro-Trump Rally

Thousands of people gathered in Huntington Beach Saturday for a "Make America Great Again" march and rally, and half a dozen people were arrested during the event, police said.

Attendees came out to support not only President Donald Trump, but veterans, law enforcement and first responders.

Police estimated about 2,000 people came out for the Orange County event, according to Capt. Kevin Pearsall of California State Park police. About 30 or 40 counter-protesters attended.

Pearsall said there was a "disagreement of beliefs" that resulted in six arrests, some of which were for the "illegal use of pepper spray."

The march along Pacific Coast Highway at Bolsa Chica State Beach was one of dozens planned across the country. It was originally planned at the OC Fair and Event Center in Costa Mesa, but officials there decided to close down for the weekend, fearing a potential clash between participants and anti-Trump protesters.

Such clashes have marred past Trump rallies, including one last year at the Pacific Amphitheatre that resulted in more than a dozen arrests.

Police were out in force during the Saturday rally, with anti-Trump activists staging a counter-protest.

Police said no arrests were reported at a smaller event scheduled in Hollywood in the area of Trump's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

In Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania 'MAGA' March planned for Saturday morning was met by Anti-Trump protesters in Old City and Center City. Both groups demonstrated near and around Independence Hall and City Hall.

On the Jersey Shore, more than 2,000 President Donald Trump's supporters rallied Saturday at the Jersey shore, vowing their help in "making America great again."

In Boston, Massachusettes, a group of Trump voters were eager to show their support to the President after he failed to repeal and replace former President Barack Obama's Affordable Care Act.

According to organizers of the Make America Great Again march, the event is designed to show "we love our country and we want to show gratitude to the men and women who put their own lives on the live every day."

Good. Canada needs to join us and rally the same days, same in Europe.

Stop the NWO and stop dumping refugees, asylum and illegals on OUR soil.

Deport them all. Go fix their countries...not destroy ours.

We do not want these people on our soil.

This is good, it does show the support is still there for the country.

We will have to do far more if we are going to make it work.

The Americans who want this country to continue as a free nation are going to have to admit one very harsh truth. We are also responsible for the condition of this country.

When we realize illegals aliens were working in the food processing industry - beef/chicken/pork - , did we stop purchasing those products? No, we continue to support those industries.

When we realized illegals were working in the fast food industry, did we stop spending our money at those places. No we continue to furnish them the wherewithal to continue to employ these people.

When we realized our banks were not only catering to the illegals because they made profited by transferring monies out of the country, but accepting Matricula cards, did we withdraw our monies from these banks. No, we weren't willing to upset the status quo and stand on principle. When we realized they were hiring illegals, in order to get more illegal business, did we then move our monies. No, we did not.

When we saw billboards put up by business in Spanish. These Spanish billboards are for no other reason than to seek the business of illegals. Then,when they get the business, they must hire illegals to work because of language. Did we withhold our patronage - no.

When we realized our very own government is working to give more benefits to illegals than ourselves - did we vote them out of office? Did we even write them? Did we instead continue to vote for the 'Republicans' because we bought into the lie we had a two party system. Some did, yes, but here in Texas, we have people going to Washington - on our tax dollar - who openly advocate for the illegals.

My Mother always said when you point your finger at someone, you have three pointing back and you - and I am as guilty as anyone in this case - but it needs to stop. We need to realize without our monies, they can't be as 'friendly' to the lawbreakers.

Yes, our banks, corporations, lawmakers, etc., should do the right thing -but they are going to do the profitable thing. We have to do the right thing.
