Immigration Voice blog
Is IV really sticking to its published goal?
Immigration Voice (IV) claims that its goal is to lobby for getting greencards faster for everyone waiting in the line, eliminate country quota etc.
If that is really the case, why have they converted their discussion more like a general purpose immigration forum? Why have they added forums like visitor visa, business visa, J1 visa, Life after Greencard, Citizenship etc?
They have even recently added forums like 'Starting and Doing Business in USA' etc.
I don't think anyone at IV is working towards their published agenda at all. Instead, their goal simply seems to be general purpose immigration forum and compete with other existing web sites for immigration.
They have also added bunch of irrelevant advertisements on the forum recently. I believe the goal is just to increase the traffic of the web site and generate ad revenue from it, while talking about their noble goal etc etc.

If they have a 501 c 3 exemption I believe it is required that they adhere to their stated purpose. I am not expert enough to know exactly how that policy works---but I have been told by other organizations, at times, that my request was outside of the bounds of their tax exempt status. So there are parameters. Perhaps you should look into that question with IV.
