Dallas Morning News won't endorse Trump for president
Dallas Morning News won't endorse Trump for president

Breaking with decades of historical precedent of endorsing the Republican Party nominee in the general election, the editorial board of The Dallas Morning News on Tuesday declared Donald Trump unfit for office and undeserving of the GOP brand.
The newspaper's editorial board, which endorsed Ohio Gov. John Kasich in the Republican primary, ripped into Trump for his "admiration" of Russian President Vladimir Putin and disavowal of trade deals like the Trans-Pacific Partnership, as well as national security ideas that it says "put sound bites over sound policy."
Trump's ideas, the editorial board wrote, "are so far from Republicanism that they have spawned a new description: Trumpism."
"We have no interest in a Republican nominee for whom all principles are negotiable, nor in a Republican Party that is willing to trade away principle for pursuit of electoral victory," it concluded. "Trump doesn't reflect Republican ideals of the past; we are certain he shouldn't reflect the GOP of the future. Donald Trump is not qualified to serve as president and does not deserve your vote."
The Dallas Morning News had previously endorsed every GOP nominee dating back to 1964, when it was neutral between Texan and incumbent Democratic President Lyndon B. Johnson and Arizona Sen. Barry Goldwater.

Oh my goodness! Shame on you, Dallas Morning News! Shame, Shame, Shame on you!!
American Republicans want our trade protected, as always. The TPP is another hand-off, sell-out of American Jobs, American Investment and American Money Supply. Our trade deals presently cause an almost $800 billion a year trade deficit and have for years. That's a national loss that can never be recovered every single year that such deficits exist. Trade deficits mean the trade deals aren't in the best interest of the United States, our workers, citizens and taxpayers. To oppose Donald Trump and call him "unfit" because he opposes TPP and wants to fix our trade deals is well .... not only wrong but treasonous.
Donald Trump will do a great job on national security. He will correct inequities presently residing in these relationships, he will rebuild our military, take care of our veterans and avoid nation-building and foreign tribal wars in which the US has no national security interest.

I think people are fed up with these biased newspapers and don't care who they do or do not endorse. The MSM is losing it's sway. JMO
