In defense of Sheriff Joe Arpaio

This will make some of you very unhappy, perhaps even a few of my colleagues here at KTAR.

I believe that Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio has brought us proof that the birth certificate that Barack Obama has presented to us is a fraud. It is a forgery.

I am not saying that the president is not an American citizen.

I am not saying that the president was born in Kenya, not Hawaii, as he claims. What I am saying is that there is question about his birth certificate -- its authenticity -- as well as other documents. There are questions about his Social Security card and number. There are questions about his draft registration card and number.

Instead of thanking Arpaio, the media has absolutely turned on him. TV stations are showing a commercial his opponent made, giving free air time to the person who would unseat Arpaio, airtime that the candidate would not be able to afford.

I have heard a well-respected host deriding the evidence and memory of a 95-year-old woman who remembers numbers on the birth certificate that point to its non-authenticity. "How much can a 95-year-old remember," he scoffed. I know a few people in their 80s and 90s whose memories would compare with any of ours.

Arpaio and the Cold Case Posse have presented real evidence. Why is there such derision when there should be curiosity?

Are there any of you who question the timing of the Justice Department's attacks on Arpaio and if those attacks have anything to do with his investigation of the Obama birth certificate and other documents?

Once again, instead of deriding Arpaio and the Cold Case Posse, shouldn't we all be a little more curious?

I think we're past the time of being a "little more curious". Many of us have been researching this topic since 2008 and have no doubt that fraud has been committed. We have a criminal element in the WH and the administration.
