Democrat Senators Threaten, Bully House Speaker to Submit to Executive Branch Amnesty

Democrat Senators Threaten, Bully House Speaker to Submit to Executive Branch Amnesty

Posted on 22 May, 2014 by Rick Wells

On Thursday, four Democrat senators, including Chuck Schumer, repeated threats that we have heard them make before, regarding compliance by the House with their demands to proceed on an amnesty bill of their choosing, on their timetable.
They gave House Republicans six weeks to comply after which they could expect Obama’s dictatorial pen to pass it on his own.
The deadline imposed by the Democrats was the August break. Senator Schumer said, “Here is the bottom line, they have about a six-week window, from June 10 after the last Republican primary till the August recess. If they don’t pass immigration reform then, the president will have no choice but to act on his own.”
Of course Obama does have a choice; he can act within the framework of the Constitution. He just chooses not to.
The four also put Boehner on notice that a piecemeal approach, as Boehner as offered in the past, is not acceptable. They want “the whole enchilada.”
In dictating to the House Speaker what he is expected to do, Schumer said, “We are not going to go along with minor fixes that fail to address the huge systematic problems of our immigration system today.”
Although Boehner has claimed he won’t act until Obama proves he can be trusted, the truth is Obama can never be trusted, so under those restrictions, it would be a dead issue; it’s not.
Harry Reid offered to postpone the accountability until a future date by delaying the implementation until 2017. The good senator is willing delay the pain and move it into what will possibly be a Republican administration, so they can take the heat for the destruction that Democrats are engineering. How generous.
Reid said, “Delaying implementation of immigration reform is not my preference, but I feel so strongly this bill needs to get done, I am willing to show flexibility.”
Team Democrat is fanning out in a public relations, argument framing, propaganda offensive right now.
The weak or complicit Speaker of the House needs to stand up to the White House and make a few threats of his own, like the very real power they have of impeachment for Obama’s multiple, almost innumerable violations of the U.S. Constitution.
Until and unless the Democrats are given a reason to behave in a civilized and respectful manner, they will continue to disregard the safeguards of the separation of powers placed into our Constitution in recognition of this very real threat. That threat, of an imperial Executive branch, is on full display.

"the huge systematic problems of our immigration system" Is he referring to the NON-ENFORCEMENT of our immigration laws?
That's the only problem I know of.
