(Natural News) If you were holding out hope that the Democratic majority in the House was serious when leaders like Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California pledged to do the people’s work, we’ve got some bad news for you.

It’s going to be a long two years. But hopefully, at the end of it, Democrats will have shown enough Americans just why they cannot — and should never again — be in charge.
As the crisis along the U.S.-Mexico border worsens and the agencies charged with defending it against illegal immigrants are not being paid, thanks to Democratic refusal to work with POTUS Trump on a solution to reopen shuttered government agencies, the party of the donkey is more concerned with enshrining voter fraud into law.

As Democrats took the majority in the House of Representatives last week, they wasted no time in drafting legislation to remake the U.S. Constitution, shifting the rules in their favor. One bill would abolish the Electoral College. Another would make voter registration automatic, repeal voter ID laws, drastically limit free speech in politics, and create a system where the government funds particular candidates — all in one bill!
These measures are being sold by Democrats to voters as ‘good government,’ ‘important to the defense of our democracy,’ ‘fundamentally fair’ — and other nonsense. But in fact, each of them tears further at the fabric of our society and would destroy foundational principles our founders enshrined to us for their posterity.
Already the regressive Left (because reimposing tyranny isn’t progressive) has made inroads into establishing state-level balloting systems devoid of legitimate oversight. Whenever states have made serious efforts to clean up voter registration rolls, for example, or prove who they are and that they are indeed eligible to vote, the Democrat Left has found ways to block them. (Related: Thanks to Democrat vote fraud and election tampering, trust in our entire system is collapsing — which is what they want.)

As for the Electoral College, this stems from Democrats’ refusal to accept the results of elections that their presidential nominees lose. Because George W. Bush and Donald J. Trump won a majority of electoral votes — which is how our presidents are chosen — instead of an overall majority of votes (which our founders patently rejected), they want to rig the system they believe will be in their favor and get rid of what they see as a roadblock to power.
These radical ideas are catching on throughout the Democratic Party — and they will tear our nation apart

Recently, one long-serving but now retired Democratic lawmaker, John Dingell from Michigan, actually proposed eliminating the Senate altogether.
“Today, in a nation of more than 325 million and 37 additional states, not only is that structure antiquated, it’s downright dangerous. California has almost 40 million people, while the 20 smallest states have a combined population totaling less than that. Yet because of an 18th-century political deal, those 20 states have 40 senators, while California has just two,” Dingell continued. “These sparsely populated, usually conservative states can block legislation supported by a majority of the American people. That’s just plain crazy.”
He, too, attacked the Electoral College, noting that he voted in 1969 to amend the Constitution to abolish it — even though our founders feared selecting presidents by popular vote specifically because a few large population centers would be able to do so, thus alienating a sizable plurality and setting the stage for unrest.
If anything, Congress should be favoring legislation and amendments that restore our founding constitutional principles, not tearing them asunder.
Mind you, none of these pieces of legislation the new Democratic House majority wants to be implemented are going to become the law of the land — yet.
However, what these bills tell us is that should the day come when Democrats are in charge again, these are the substantive changes they plan to make to our founding form of government.

Like I said before the mid-terms many many times, the 2018 mid-terms were the most important mid-term election in our lifetimes, possibly in our history.

Our nation will never recover from the loss in 2018 of Republican control of the US House of Representatives.

If you believe that a midterm election in a time of relative peace and economic prosperity is the most important in history or even the most important in your fortunate lifetime, you either are oblivious to history or don't have a single nonpartisan synapse firing in your skull.

Yet it's now become standard for partisans to claim that every presidential election is the most important ever. Seeing as many people view the president as an emperor, perhaps they believe it. That's one thing. But now we have people foisting this insufferable cliche on us for House elections, which happen every two years in every single district.

The 2018 election is "the most important election of our lives," writes a hysterical David Corn at Mother Jones. Prognosticator Charlie Cook explains, "Everybody always says, 'Oh, the upcoming election's the most important since Moby-Dick was a guppy.' This one actually is really important." "The most important election of your life," tweets Donald Trump's spurned bestie Joe Scarborough. "The most important election any of us have voted in so far," declares Joe Biden, who notes that "everything" is at stake in 2018.

"The most important election of our lifetime," says Sen. Cory Booker. And Democratic National Chairman Tom Perez. And New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. And former President Barack Obama.

As anyone who's been paying attention already knows, this is utter nonsense, because 2016 had the most important election ever.

"I believe this may be the most important election of our lifetimes," Hillary Clinton told us. Mike Pence assured America much the same. "Why 2016 may actually be the most important election of our lifetime," a headline from The Hill read. Bloomberg Businessweek agreed. So did The Nation. "2016: The most important election since 1932," declared the esteemed Brookings Institution. "The Most Important Election of Our Lifetime," read a Franklin Graham headline. "This Really Might Be the Most Important Election Ever," The New Republic added.

It really might have been. Though it surely was not so important as the 2012 election, which was "the most important election of our lifetime," according to Mitt Romney. Paul Ryan agreed. "The most important election in our lifetime," Jon Huntsman noted. The highest-rated cable news personality in America at the time, Bill O'Reilly, said the same. This is "the most important election since 1860," Newt Gingrich added.

It seems that "the most important election in the history of the galaxy" is a notion that is mostly, although not exclusively, embraced by those out of power. Take 2008.

"This is certainly the most important election in my lifetime -- not just because I'm running," said an unconvincing Obama. Biden, who's in the running for all-time platitude hits leader, explained, "So when people say 'this is the single most important election in my lifetime,' they're exactly right." This was the "most important election in our lifetimes," agreed Chris Dodd and Bill Richardson.

"My fellow Americans, this is the most important election of our lifetime," John Kerry intoned in 2004. John Edwards agreed. Rep. John Lewis yelled the same thing. "The most important election in (our) lives," 74 percent of Americans nodded in an ABC News poll. Bruce Springsteen said so, as well.

The National Rifle Association's then-president, Charlton Heston, described the 2000 George W. Bush vs. Al Gore contest as "the most important election since the Civil War." Rush Limbaugh did him one better: "No question about it. This is the most important election in our history."

Bill Clinton, on the other hand, explained eight years earlier that 1992 was "the most important election in a generation." Robert C. Byrd, still cheering for Democrats in 1988, said it "may be the most important election of (the) century."

Walter Mondale told a crowd in 1984 that his contest was "the most important election of our lives." Ronald Reagan concurred, saying that Americans were facing the "most important election in this nation in 50 years." Nancy Reagan, though, who lived through two world wars and a couple of other major conflicts, thought the 1980 election was the most important election of her life.

As elections go, 1976 was "one of the most vital in the history of America," explained Gerald Ford. Both Richard Nixon and John F. Kennedy believed the 1960 contest was the most important. I renewed my driver's license a couple weeks ago. The lady renewed it for me, but told me if I wanted to fly on a plane, even within the country, to different states, that I would need to upgrade my driver's license to the new "Real ID" license before next year (forget the exact date she told me). I came back a couple days later with the extra identification documents needed to upgrade. I wonder if this new real id driver's license will also be used for voting. If not, it should be. And I'm wondering exactly what they mean by wanting to repeal voter id laws. Obviously they want illegals to be able to vote.

What is the "Real ID" license?!

How will Real ID work when they are issuing them to illegal aliens in California and Sanctuary States?

You may as well get used to loosing elections unless something is done fast to stop importing D voters, and it may already be too late for that. It appears this is exactly what the R's wanted or they would have tried to stop it already. Time to admit we have a UNIPARTY.

I'm the one in reality. You and some others are the ones bellyaching about a cause you threw under the bus on November 6, 2018 and then you wake up on November 7, 2018 like you've still got someone in DC paying any attention to you.

Ha, we certainly didn't have anyone in DC paying attention to us for the past 2 years. They wanted us to sit down and shut up for 2 years, they called us every name in the book for 2 years, but oh yeah they wanted us to come back and vote. Why, so they could ignore us and call us names for another 2 years, I don't think so. When the R's start paying attention to immigration, voter fraud, the National Debt, and stop acting more like the D's, I will consider coming back, until then---enjoy the party you have created.
