Deputy Press Secretary Raj Shah: “Confident” That Spending Bill Will Pass By Friday, No Talk Of Border Wall

On a morning Fox News appearance, White House deputy press secretary Raj Shah remained confident that the $1.3 trillion spending bill – which focuses on national infrastructure and military spending while ignoring measures like border security – will be passed by the Friday deadline.
“There are a number of issues that are being worked out by Congress, but we remain confident that by the end of the week we’re going to have a funding bill that funds this White House and this president’s priorities,” Mr. Shah said.
“Right now we’re looking at a package that is going to present over $700 billion in funding for the military for this year and a little more for next year.”
Despite optimism that the bill will pass, many on the right are rightfully upset the bill does not include proper funding for the much-promised border wall. President Trump repeatedly attempted to work in such provisions in exchange for a three-year extension for DACA arrivals (illegal aliens allowed to keep pouring in) but was blocked by Democrats.
