The January 2006 debates were tightly focused on the July 2nd Presidential election. The 2007 debate will broaden to take a harder look at viable policies and actual governance, now that the Mexico's new national leaders have taken office for their 3 or 6 year terms following a controversial 2006 election. The debaters will present their policy ideas and solutions to the pressing issues in Mexico today and between the United States and Mexico, such as immigration, amnesty, drugs interdiction and the proposed "wall."

The San Francisco debate is the first of five debates to be held in California as part of the "A Celebration of the Mexican Democracy: California debates 2007" debate series held February 26-28, 2007. Sacramento, Los Angeles, Santa Ana, and San Diego will host debates two through five, respectively.

Why are they debating on our soil? I can care less what they think about our immigration/wall policy. Why don't they debate their own crappy immigration policy? Nice to see Bank of Latin America is a sponsor. We are in the process of changing our bank account out of BOA. In fact, when my wife asked the BOA teller for the contact info for the BOA HQ so we could complain about the illegal immigration policy, the teller seemed more than happy to give it to us. Maybe she didn't like the new policy either.

They should be sure to serve spinach, cantalope, and other assorted and often tainted produce picked by illegal aliens, as a tribute to their new-found customers. Eat up Mr. Lewis!!
