The United States Needs To Take Charge Of Mexico

Considering the fact that Mexcio is so dependent upon the United States for it's survival, and considering the fact that Mexico costs U.S. Taxpayers way way up in the billions of dollars, I believe it is time for American Citizens to start participating in their voting process. It is time for U.S. Citizens to demand a very strong say in the political system in Mexico.

I don't agree. The United States is not the one to run Mexico.. Mexicans who know what they are doing need to run Mexico. And it can be said correctly that the Mexicans that are running the country do not know what they are doing. However, it could also be said, and very clearly correctly, that the people running the American Government do not know what they are doing at all!!

We need to get our congress straightened out. I believe Mr. Tancredo would make an excellent President at this point, and anypoint in many respects. THAT would straighten out our end.

Mexico has a cash cow going strong with the U.S. She looks like she can do this for a long time. Mexico, however, has a huge amount of oil in the Gulf of Mexico that she decided to NOT tap at this point, and NOT help her poor people. (Why should she... send them to the United States!) And if the United States suggested we would seize Gulf of Mexico land and pump oil to pay the costs of the Mexican Nationals in the United States... I would bet a whole bunch Mexico would find a way to take care of HER problems very, very quickly! I believe ou would agree Legal?

Thank you Shaw, and I do agree!! My post is actually meant to be a form of sarcasm, yet I am trying to make a point. My point really is, that Vicente Fox seems to think that he is going to dictate how life is going to be for Americans, therefor, I am trying to put the shoe on the other foot.
In other words, if the United States is going to spend many billions of tax payer dollars, and be forced to accept over 4,000 illegal immigrants into our country on a daily basis, then, maybe we need to "Take Charge", of Mexcio. In other words, WE have a right to have a strong say in what is happening over there. We have a vested interest because of what is happening to us here. So, of course, it is not in our nature to nose into other countries elections.....but then why are we allowing them to decide when, how and where our laws will be enforced? How would Mr. Fox and country feel if the American people said, "Okay, let's straighten out some of the corruption over there." Yes, we have a lot of straightening out to do here, that's for sure.

And your idea, of pumping the oil over there...great...it's in line with what I'm trying to say, which is...."Mexico, we have a RIGHT to having a strong say in what is yours, because of what you owe us, and because of the impact you are having on us and our children's future. Like you indicated, maybe this "attitude" coming from us would be enough to make them think twice! How about this..."what's yours, is ours too." You asked for it, you got it....we will take care of your country via decision making. You're not doing a very good job, so it's time we intervene....and HELP you.

Mexico doesn't need our help anymore. They are NOT a Third World Country and frankly I had no idea we were paying them $15 Billion a year in Aid. When I learned that on this forum I was furious. Mexico has farm, fishing, tourist, manufacturing, and oil resources to name a few. They have a Harvard educated President. They are closer to the US Market for normal trade than anyone except Canada and can do business with us as Grown Ups....Big Boys....and stop all this whining and begging and meddling and human dumping into the US.

STOP THE $15 Billion in Aid to Mexico!!

STOP THE $16-$17 Billion in Cash Transfer sent out of the US Economy to Mexico by Immigrants...Legal and Illegal!!

    Close the Border....

    Deport Aliens....

    Prosecute Violators....

Hmmm....HOW ORIGINAL? Enforce the Law and set Mexico and all the countries sending illegal aliens to the US...

This POOR IMMIGRANT story? It's old, it's tired....

    We're done with that crap!!

I've criticized Foxy (Vicente Fox that is) a number of times in this forum. I agree with the ideas presented here by all. Still, I want to add comments I read somewhere on why Bush is kowtowing to Foxy and the rich bs'tards in Mexico. First, as we all know, Mexico isn't doing much of anything to help the poor in their country. And we know why: Why would Foxy, Mexico and their "upper crust" lift a finger to provide for their own poor citizens when they can shift them and sponge off good old Uncle Sam? But, this is not the main point I want to make; the main point being I read somewhere (but cannot recall the exact link) that if the USA faucet was cut off for illegal aliens from Mexico, Foxy and the weathly rich elite of Mexico would eventually have civil unrest and very likely rebellion on their hands, perhaps civil war. Presidunce Jorgy and Conghouls may see the worst of the worst, that is: If Mexico has a revolution and overthrows the current government, a dictator or a communist may take over the country. Now, this is too close to comfort for US supposed leaders given all their BS in regards to Cuba over the years, i.e. just a tiny island.

Now, I cannot imagine how a communist could possibly be worse than the government already in place in Mexico, but then, again, I don't live there. Seems all USA leaders are paranoid about a small island named Cuba. Funny how when I read about CAFTA and similar proposals, Cuba was excluded entirely among all the countries in North/South/Central America and the Caribbean.

Just some thoughts on what I've read but I do agree that Mexico needs to take care of their own despite anything else and US taxpayers are being unfairly taken advantage of not only by Foxy, other leaders in third world countries, but by Jorgy too.

Why don't we insist that the welfare costs of illegal aliens in the US be paid by Foxy, Jorgy and other rich snots who profit from cheap labor at the expense of taxpaying US citizens, and . . . especially we should ask for reimbursements from the politically correct who have their heads stuck up their watoozies (spelling ???).

A great motto for those who don't take these issues seriously and are bound up in playing the race card/wanting to appear politically correct would be "If you stick your head in the sand, it means your tush is in the air." A second response would be, "If you want to stick your tush in the air, don't drag mine along too." The first quote brought to you by Dr. Laura and read by yours truly in one of her books.

    LOVE YOUR POST!!!

They may have USED it to funnel the $15 Billion into Mexico....in otherwords maybe some "slick" Mexican Official said..."Open Your Borders and Pay us A Bunch of Money" OR we'll go Communist..

Well....we've probably had some Beanheads that Believed That.

Mexicans do not want to be Communists. Mexicans want a real democratic government and a real capitalistic society...like ours.

    Rise UP Mexicans....we'll help YOU!!

so you'll love it when you find out the "popular politician and presidential candidate in Mexico" is Manuel Lopez Obrador, current Mayor of Mexico City, archenemy of Fox and defined as "left leaning"....

Fox did try to put him on ice (politically speaking) but ended up scapegoating his own Attorney General for this failed attempt. This Attorney General was the bright spot in this Mexican government, having shown real courage in going after narco-traffickers and corrupt national policemen protecting the drug lors...

by the way, Manuel Lopez Obrador's offense? ignoring a court order to stop building a road to a hospital in a poor neighborhood..... so, another "top ranking" Mexican official with the attitude that laws are not meant for him...... sound familiar?
conservative is but a liberal after a dose of reality...

I wondered too, Shaw, why they weren't making use of their resource. Until I found out the truth................

MEXICO is NOT tapping the OIL because that is TAKEN CARE OF THROUGH CAFTA! It's taken care of with the ENERGY PROVISIONS along with Canada! It will be an American Hemispheric Energy program

If CAFTA goes through, the OIL WILL BE TAPPED! And, we'll be footing much of the bill $$$. Our GOLIATHS will be pocketing the profits as well as Mex & Canadian thieves. Not the people.

Why should Mexico spend the capitol when we're there to do it for them and let them share in the wealth? Besides, we're much more advanced technologically in this field.

Yeah....I heard about the road to the hospital deal....but didn't get the specifics. Why would they stop the road to a HOSPITAL??? I kinda viewed it as....he might be for the little guy that needs some access to medical care. I think the road was crossing some private land and he needed an easement. I'd like to know more about this guy. As for the AG going after NARCS and Drug Lords?? Did he get any? I think they are all here already.
