CAIR TO TRUMP: DROP FRANKLIN GRAHAM FROM INAUGURAL PRAYERS

Charges 'ill-informed and extremist views are incompatible with the Constitution'

    Franklin Graham

The Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Muslim-rights group designated by the Justice Department as a terrorist co-conspirator, is calling on Donald Trump to drop Rev. Franklin Graham as one of six clergy who will offer prayers at the Jan. 20 inauguration ceremony.

In a press release issued this week, CAIR referred to the son of evangelist Billy Graham as a “notorious Islamophobe”

“If President-elect Trump truly seeks to unite our nation as he promised in his acceptance speech, he will limit the list of those offering prayers at the inauguration to religious leaders who work to bring us together, not to create divisions between faiths,” said CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad. “Rev. Graham’s ill-informed and extremist views are incompatible with the Constitution and with American values of religious liberty and inclusion.”

Awad was linked to the Holy Land Foundation terror-funding case by wiretaps showing him present at a 1993 Philadelphia meeting of Hamas leaders and activists where participants hatched a plot to disguise payments to Hamas terrorists as $12 million in charitable giving. Five of the plotters were given substantial prison sentences and, as WND reported, a new Internet campaign is urging President Obama to provide clemency to the jailed leaders of the foundation before he leaves office.

This is not the first time CAIR has attempted to have Graham banned from official Washington functions. In 2010 the group celebrated its success at having Graham dropped from The National Day of Prayer at the Pentagon.
CAIR’s Awad said his organization hailed the decision “as a victory for common sense and good judgment.”

“Promoting one’s own religious beliefs is something to be defended and encouraged, but other faiths should not be attacked or misrepresented in the process,” Awad said.
Graham has been outspoken in his criticism of Islam, saying Muslims are “enslaved by Islam” and characterizing it as a “very evil and wicked religion.” Following the attack by two Muslims that left more than a 14 dead and 22 seriously injured in San Bernardino, Graham warned, “Every Muslim that comes into this country has the potential to be radicalized – and they do their killing to honor their religion and Muhammad.”

CAIR’s demand is unlikely to carry any weight with the Trump transition team. The president-elect, during his thank-you event last month in Mobile, Alabama, praised Graham and credited him for contributing to his victory.

“I want to thank so many great people, but having Franklin Graham, who was so instrumental, we won so big, with evangelical Christians, we won so big,” Trump told the crowd of 20,000.

Graham has previously prayed at the 2001 inauguration of George W. Bush and his father has prayed at the same event for other presidents, from Richard Nixon to Bill Clinton. That both Grahams have always concluded their prayers in the name of Jesus Christ — and Franklin Graham certainly will again — can only add to CAIR’s displeasure.

Ironically, CAIR’s broadside against Graham came at the same time his charitable organization, Samaritan’s Purse, was dedicating a 50-bed field hospital the group built in Mosul, Iraq.

The trauma unit constructed on the Plains of Ninevah is meant to treat the injured in the fighting being conducted by government and coalition forces against ISIS, reported the Washington Times.
“It’s a privilege to be here,” Graham said during the dedication ceremony. “As a Christian, I want all people to know about God’s love for them.”

Samaritan’s Purse was praised by Lise Grande, U.N. Humanitarian Coordinator for Iraq, who noted the difficulty in finding NGOs willing to provide frontline trauma care.

“We’ve reached out to a number of organizations, asking, begging them to step forward,” she said. “Dr. Graham, Samaritan’s Purse answered that call. We can’t thank you enough.

“You built this hospital in record time. Most of all we want to thank you for saving people. Because Samaritan’s Purse is here, thousands — tens of thousands — of people will survive…”

CAIR is unlikely to be moved by Graham’s clearly un-Islamophobic charitable work in Iraq. Graham’s 2003 announcement of his group’s planned relief efforts in Iraq drew similar scorn from the U.S. Muslim group.

Ibrahim Hooper, spokesman for CAIR, charged that evangelical groups use humanitarian concerns as a cover for their true motive – to convert Muslims to Christianity.

“They go after them when they’re most vulnerable and hope they can get them to leave their faith,” he told Beliefnet at the time. “It’s a very despicable practice.”

Hooper said Graham’s effort could undermine President Bush’s attempt to convince the Muslim world that the war was not against Islam.

“If it becomes generally known, it’s going to be a public relations disaster for the Bush administration,” he Hooper, who has said he wants the U.S. eventually to become a Muslim nation.
“Franklin Graham obviously thinks it is a war against Islam.”

One day everyone will see that the charitable tax exempt status program of the federal income tax has caused far more harm that good, has financed unscrupulous even anti-American organizations and enterprises, and exploits lower income tax payers who are then required to make up the difference in taxes needed and those offset with phony charity tax-exempt revenue and tax-deductible contributions.

SOLUTION: FairTax. HR 25 in the US House of Representatives and S 155 in the US Senate (new Senate may assign a new number, so far HR 25 in the House has been HR 25 since 1999 when it was first introduced into the US House of Representatives).

Muslims persecuting Christians and anyone that is not Muslim! Imagine that! What a shocker right? Not like that happens in every single part of the Earth where there are sizeable Muslim populations.

Wonderful to know that Franklin Graham will have a role in the inauguration. I hope we see groups like CAIR and the SPLC lose more and more credibility with anyone who even bothers to listen to them now. As the American people realize their motives and who they classify as enemies and threats they will lose listeners except for those who work against the best interests of the nation.

We know with this new administration that CAIR's influence in and counsel to the White House is gone.

U.S. on list of Christian-persecuting nations

'Trend is extremely worrying in country that has long held ideal of religious liberty'

    Published: 01/06/2017 at 7:49 PM 1.8K

For the first time ever, the United States has been added to an annual list of the world’s persecutors of Christians and countries that are regressing in religious freedom.
The United States, Mexico and Russia were listed as “new and noteworthy” nations in the 2016 “Hall of Shame Report” published by the Washington, D.C., based human rights group International Christian Concern, or ICC.

The “worst of the worst” countries for Christian persecution – the “most egregious state persecutors” – included Iraq, Syria, Nigeria and North Korea.
Others listed as “core countries” – or nations that are less egregious in their persecution but are “perennial abusers of religious freedom” – were Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, China and India.

While ICC notes “there is no comparison between the life of a Christian in the U.S. with persecuted believers overseas,” the group noted a number of “worrying trends as an alarming indication of a decline in religious liberty in the United States.”
ICC President Jeff King explained: “We felt it was very important this year that we highlight three countries where religious discrimination and persecution are deemed unusual but have reached a certain threshold of concern. These are Mexico, Russia, and sadly, the United States.
“While conditions in the U.S. are in no way comparable to other countries on the list, a certain segment of the culture and the courts seem to be intent on driving faith out of the public square. There have been too many court cases with bad decisions to miss the clear trend line.”
See the ICC “Hall of Shame” map:

For example, after Muslim terrorist Omar Mateen murdered 49 and injured 53 innocent people in a June 11, 2016, attack on a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, it was Christians whom many targeted with blame, the report states.
“Incredibly, after the attack, numerous high profile media outlets blamed the attacks on what they perceived as the anti-LGBTQ atmosphere that Christians have created.
“In short, Christians in the U.S. are facing constant attacks in the media, where they are portrayed as bigoted, racist, sexist, and close-minded.”
That false characterization may also be translating into direct assaults on believers, the report noted, citing statistics from the First Liberty Institute indicating attacks on religion doubled between 2012 and 2015.
ICC noted that Christians and other religious groups have been marginalized through the law.
“From the case of a Christian football coach suspended for praying at the 50-yard line, to Christian business owners forced to pay a $135,000 fine for declining to bake a cake for a same-sex wedding, the number of troubling cases directed toward Christians has exploded.”
The group cited several other troubling incidents and concluded:
The Founders carefully and deliberately placed religious freedom as the first liberty because it encompasses several fundamental rights including thought, speech, expression, and assembly. The First Amendment explicitly grants freedom of religion, not freedom from religion. The essential aim is to protect the right of citizens to practice religion in the public square.
Decades of accumulated poor judicial decisions and precedents have twisted the First Amendment so that the courts, in defiance of the Founders, are pushing religion out of the public square, and into the small space of private expression. In essence, the courts are deciding that you only have full religious freedom and expression in the church and your home. In the public domain, your religious views and thoughts must be restrained and controlled.
This trend is extremely worrying in the country that has long held the ideal of religious liberty.

Yes it is wonderful to know that this administration will have nothing to do with CAIR.

As to the inaguration itself, I think it will be a lovely, reverent, elegant, tasteful, beautiful Inauguration. I was thinking about the 23 or so Democrats who are "boycotting" the Inauguration. It's not all that surprising when you think about it. It will be a great day for our country and people, and nothing to boycott, but you know they'll all be home watching it, so it's really not a boycott, it's a stay home, stay warm, watch it on Tee Vee Boycott, so it's a fake boycott, just like their fake news.
