12-02-2006, 09:52 PM #41My god, that's a sign that the US just doesn't give a damn about this problem.
Decisions like this that have an impact on the people should be made by the people. We should be able to vote on it.

to answer your questionCode:Why is it so hard for Americans to unite???
The Illegals have all the support they need. From high powered officials to anchor babies. I still say that amnesty will no change the way they are right now.
The way the government is going about this is like throwing a propane tank into a volcano, it`s going to explode. and then they can say that they don`t know what to do.------------------------

Remember this last May ("2611") with Kennedy's: "They're good people, they go to church on Sundays"? Reed's statement: "We're going to build 10,000 new hotel rooms in Vegas in the next ten years, where are we going to get the manpower to . . . . ?". Wages for hotel housekeepers amount to $2/room (one room per 18 minutes). How about paying $4/room and watch Americans flock to Vegas to do the work? Senator "Greed" would be more appropriate. He wouldn't make a good pimple on the ass of Senator Hatch. Exploit the poor for the allmighty dollar, and turn Lake Meade into a frog pond. He's destined for "Outer Darkness", if you know what I mean.

At the risk of insulting many patriotic Mormons involved in our struggle, the truth about Harry Reid needs to be told. Remember Fox's trip to LA, Sacramento, and Salt Lake City this last summer? He met with the president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to discuss the long-standing "cultural ties" between Mexico and and the Mormon Church. Ties which date back to the mid-1840's, when three Mormons settled in north central Mexico. (Look for the Continental Divide and the two towns of "Colonia Garcia" and "Colonia Juarez".) Thousands of acres of orchards irrigated by the mountain run offs.
My good friend*is a direct descendant of one of these three "settlers". The buildings in these towns look like Ivy league prep schools. The Mexican converts speak fluent English.
With this recent election in Mexico, the Mormon Church had good reason to fear Obrador's election and potential expropriation of these holdings by a leftist government.
Harry Reid takes his orders from the "High Twelve" in Salt Lake City. His willingness to sell out this country will get him into "Celestial Bliss".
This in no way impugns the real hardworking patriotic Mormons which have given so much of their time, sweat, tears, money, and efforts to stop the illegal invasion, with no compensation. My hat is off to them!
*His 100 year-old grandfather recently died and left everything to his six sons. His four daughters got nothing!

The Mormon Colonies in Mexico are towns near the Sierra Madre mountains settled by early Mormon pioneers. They were founded by members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the 19th century as part of a large colonizing effort instigated by Brigham Young, which dotted the map of western United States, southern Alberta, and northern México with Mormon settlements.
The two surviving Mormon colonies in Mexico are Colonia Juárez and Colonia Dublan. Both colonies are located in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico, in the general vicinity of the Casas Grandes archeological area. The Colonia Juárez Chihuahua México Temple, built in 1999, is located in Colonia Juarez, and is currently the smallest temple the LDS Church operates.
There are other Mormon Colonies in areas that once belonged to Mexico, but that are now part of the southwestern United States. These include Mesa, Snowflake, Heber, Las Vegas, San Bernardino, St. David, Joseph City, Safford, and Woodruff.
Mormon Colonies in Mexico is also the title of a book by Thomas Cottam Romney. The book details the story of Mormons who sought refuge in Mexico after fleeing from US authorities for polygamy. The book is published by the University of Utah Press.
