Once this immigration bill passes (which it will) and millions of illegals become documented, business owners will then be required to pay the newly-documented workers the legal minimum wage and all the other benefits that go with it.

This of course will open up an entire new market for illegal aliens since employers who benefit from illegal workers will have no use for the recently-documented aliens. Millions of additional illegals will come in again (don’t buy the stepped-up border protection for a second, pathetic window dressing) and we will repeat the whole process in 20 years.

We had the Reagan Amnesty, now the Bush II Amnesty, we might as well write it into the constitution now. “Every twenty years, all illegals will be granted legal residence and the new illegals who flood in to fill the employment vacuum will need to wait twenty addition years for their turn. But their children, of course, will be U.S. Citizens and be able to petition them for a Green Card once the turn 18, so most can get become legalized that way, despite the fact that they entered the country illegally and lived in it illegally for decades.â€

I suspect if it passes the Senate, it will fail in the House. The Senate doesn't seem to give a damn about voters. They work for the corp. elite of America.

House members seem to pay closer attention to the needs of their voters.

We are doing great and we are going to turn this thing around and I can hardly wait to see them go over the cliff!

Come election time, all these crazy Senators will be like rats jumping from a burning ship, and there'll be no lifesaver.

The bill will never get through the House of Reps. The rest is just a bunch of screaming and cussing.

IMO, our next fight (after we stop amnesty) is term limits for Senators. They spend 30, 40 years in the Senate having their pockets lined by Corporations. None of this touches them personally. We need new blood constantly flowing into the Senate that is still in touch with those they serve.
