Yesterday, people across the country rose up to express their love for Veterans, and to vent their distress over the continued Constitutional violations being perpetrated by the federal government. Much of the media attentionfocused on the 'Million Vet March on the Memorials' in Washington, D.C., but there were many other rallies, as well.
One of them was in Valley Forge National Park. As previously reported by the Examiner,"Steve and Jackie Piotrowski of Citizens for Liberty, along with other patriot groups, are holding a rally at Valley Forge National Park on Sunday in a show of civil disobedience over the national park closures across the country."The Examiner spoke to Steve Piotrowski, co-founder of "Citizens for Liberty." The rally was an amazing success. Although the local NBC affiliate described the group as being in the "dozens," there were clearlyhundreds of people at the rally. Brendan Wills of Mainline Media News put the number at "Close to 1,000."
Piotrowski described the scene, saying "We had our press conference on Valley Forge Park land." He said that after the rally, the group marched "from the Chapel to the visitors center."
He said,"We had people on horseback, steel horses, a huge military land/water vehicle even showed up. At the visitors center we went to the flag pole and put up the Gadsden flag."Interestingly, despite reports that the National Park Service has issued numerous tickets to people who dared to enter the park since the "government shutdown," as previously reported by the Examiner, Piotrowski had no problems with police.
He said, "We didn't even see one."
