MEXICO CITY -- A moderate earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.2 rattled the Gulf coast state of Veracruz on Wednesday, but no damages or injuries were reported.

The National Seismological Service said the temblor was centered in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico, about 200 kilometers (120 miles) offshore from the port city of Tampico.

The epicenter is more than 300 miles southeast of the U.S. border.

The rest of the world is in shock. Canada is sending troopers to help the Mexican army control the riots. The European community (except France) is sending food and money. The United States, not to be outdone, is sending 150,000 replacement Mexicans. "
