Despite initial attempts to market his municipal ID program as a benign attempt to help New Yorkers from ostensibly marginalized communities, it’s hard for anyone-even those in the media whose job increasingly seems to be obfuscation rather than illumination-to credulously argue that these identification cards constitute anything other than a further deliberate erosion of the legal distinctions between American citizens and illegal aliens.

The recent revelation that the city bureaucracy will destroy all information about illegal aliens it collects in connection with this program should a Republican be inaugurated President two years hence demonstrates the real intent behind these ID cards. It is, as Noah Rothman states in the article describing this plan, an obscenity.

However, it’s not surprising in the least when you stop to consider the true purpose of this initiative, which is embedding illegal aliens further within our societal framework, in this case, by dispensing even more breeder documents for their eventual exploitation.

Federal, state and municipal officials who provide any aid of any kind to illegal aliens in their states, cities and counties, whether it's welfare, food stamps, free school lunch, drivers licenses, ID cards, tax credits, admissions to public education institutions, scholarships, low income housing, and so forth should be prosecuted for aiding, abetting and harboring illegal aliens as well as conspiring to aid, abet and harbor illegal aliens to defraud and usurp US immigration, US labor and US civil rights laws.

There are few wrongs greater than the imposter and those who help that imposter to dress up and pose as something he/she is not.

Section 274 felonies under the federal Immigration and Nationality Act, INA 274A(a)(1)(A):
A person (including a group of persons, business, organization, or local government) commits a federal felony when she or he:

* assists an alien s/he should reasonably know is illegally in the U.S. or who lacks employment authorization, by transporting, sheltering, or assisting him or her to obtain employment, or
* encourages that alien to remain in the U.S. by referring him or her to an employer or by acting as employer or agent for an employer in any way, or
* knowingly assists illegal aliens due to personal convictions.

Penalties upon conviction include criminal fines, imprisonment, and forfeiture of vehicles and real property used to commit the crime. Anyone employing or contracting with an illegal alien without verifying his or her work authorization status is guilty of a misdemeanor. Aliens and employers violating immigration laws are subject to arrest, detention, and seizure of their vehicles or property. In addition, individuals or entities who engage in racketeering enterprises that commit (or conspire to commit) immigration-related felonies are subject to private civil suits for treble damages and injunctive relief.

Yeah like I said they should all be run through their "due process" and locked away for 5 years per hand out, 5 years per payment, 5 years per license or permit, and 5 years per day of harbor. Then we can all sue them for racketeering with treble damages for our money back, including misappropriated tax exempt funds. All these public officials, clergy, and not-for-profits engaged in these aiding, abetting and harboring crimes should be locked up for life.
