How NASA Says America Will Collapse Has Socialists Around The World Fist-Pumping

How NASA (Yeah, NASA) Says America Will Collapse Has Socialists Around The World Fist-Pumping

    By Mike Miller

Remember when NASA’s sole job was running America’s space program? Then, when Team Obama said its main focus should be “Muslim outreach?”
Now, NASA has a new mission: telling all of Western civilization, led at the forefront by America, that it must avoid “over consumption” and distribute resources equally – or face a fate similar to the collapse of the Roman Empire.
In basic terms, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration is telling America and the Western world to convert to a state-controlled economy based on resource-distribution.
NASA suggests that future limited resources will hurt the working class, while the wealthy will be largely insulated from such limitations. Need it spelled out a little clearer, according to the report?
“Two important features seem to appear across societies that have collapsed: the stretching of resources due to the strain placed on the ecological carrying capacity” … and “elites grow[ing] and consum[ing] too much, resulting in a famine among commoners that eventually causes the collapse of society.”
So, how do we save ourselves from ourselves? I could be wrong, but again, it sounds like a conversion to socialism might do the trick, in NASA’s eyes:
“Collapse can be avoided, and population can reach a steady state at the maximum carrying capacity, if the rate of depletion of nature is reduced to a sustainable level, and if resources are distributed equitably.”
Unless my reading of history is way off, socialist nations based on wealth redistribution (read the Soviet Union and China) have abysmal ecological records. And various countries and civilizations throughout history have tried to “distribute resources equitably.” They have failed every time. Why?
If I’m on the lower end of the economic spectrum, why should I work harder if you’re going to “spread the wealth around,” as Obama says, and make me “equal” through someone else’s efforts?
Conversely, if I’m on the upper end, why should I work hard if you’re just going to take half or more of what I produce and redistribute it to those who do not?
Doesn’t NASA have better things to do — like launching rockets and sending men to the moon — than doing Muslim outreach and promoting socialism? And anyway, understanding socialism is a failure isn’t “rocket science.”

Nasa-funded study warns of ‘collapse of civilisation’ in coming decades

Scientists warned that economic instability - pressured by a shortage of resources following climate change - could bring about the collapse of civilization

‘Business as usual’ approach of economic elite will lead society to disaster, scientists warn

    Adam Withnall
    Sunday 16 March 2014

Modern civilisation is heading for collapse within a matter of decades because of growing economic instability and pressure on the planet’s resources, according to a scientific study funded by Nasa.

Using theoretical models to predict what will happen to the industrialised world over the course of the next century or so, mathematicians found that even with conservative estimates things started to go very badly, very quickly.
Referring to the past collapses of often very sophisticated civilisations – the Roman, Han and Gupta Empires for example – the study noted that the elite of society have often pushed for a “business as usual” approach to warnings of disaster until it is too late.
In the report based on his “Human And Nature Dynamical” (Handy) model, the applied mathematician Safa Motesharri wrote: “the process of rise-and-collapse is actually a recurrent cycle found throughout history”.
His research, carried out with the help of a team of natural and social scientists and with funding from Nasa’s Goddard Space Flight Center, has been accepted for publication in the Ecological Economics journal, the Guardian reported.
Motesharri explored the factors which could lead to the collapse of civilisation, from population growth to climate change, and found that when these converge they can cause society to break down because of the “stretching of resources” and “the economic stratification of society into ‘Elites’ and ‘Masses’”.
Using his Handy model to assess a scenario closely resembling the current state of the world, Motesharri found that civilisation “appears to be on a sustainable path for quite a long time, but even using an optimal depletion rate and starting with a very small number of Elites, the Elites eventually consume too much, resulting in a famine among the Masses that eventually causes the collapse of society”.
The report stressed, however, that the worst-case scenario of collapse is not inevitable, and called on action now from the so-called real world “Elites” to restore economic balance.
“Collapse can be avoided and population can reach equilibrium if the per capita rate of depletion of nature is reduced to a sustainable level, and if resources are distributed in a reasonably equitable fashion,” the scientists said.
This is not the first time scientists have tried to warn us of potentially impending global disaster. Last year it emerged that Stephen Hawking and a team of Britain's finest minds are drawing up a “doomsday list” of the catastrophic low-risk (but high-impact) events that could devastate the world.

NASA-Backed Study Says Humanity Is Pretty Much Screwed

    Robert Sorokanich

Hope you've enjoyed civilized life, folks. Because a new study sponsored by NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center says the world's industrial societies are poised to collapse under the weight of their own unsustainable appetites for resources. There goes the weekend . . . and everything after it for the rest of our lives.
The research article appears in the peer-reviewed scientific journal Ecological Economics, but Dr. Nafeez Ahmed, executive director of the Institute for Policy Research & Development, has a more understandable (but no less harrowing) summary over at The Guardian. Either way, the news isn't good—as the researchers point out, history doesn't seem to hold out any favor for advanced societies.
The fall of the Roman Empire, and the equally (if not more) advanced Han, Mauryan, and Gupta Empires, as well as so many advanced Mesopotamian Empires, are all testimony to the fact that advanced, sophisticated, complex, and creative civilizations can be both fragile and impermanent.
Who's to blame? You. Me. Everyone walking around outside your window. Even the technology we invented to save us from ourselves is contributing to our decline.
Technological change can raise the efficiency of resource use, but it also tends to raise both per capita resource consumption and the scale of resource extraction, so that, absent policy effects, the increases in consumption often compensate for the increased efficiency of resource use.
Is there a way out? Of course. But you're probably not gonna like it. Dr. Ahmed sums up the researchers' suggestions:
The two key solutions are to reduce economic inequality so as to ensure fairer distribution of resources, and to dramatically reduce resource consumption by relying on less intensive renewable resources and reducing population growth.
Which is just as difficult and improbable as it sounds.
Seriously, you should read the whole rundown of what the research says. It's eye-opening, and a serious call to action—if the crushing bleakness of what we've done to ourselves hasn't already doomed you to abandon all hope. Here, watch a funny video to make you feel better. [The Guardian]

Here's How NASA Thinks Society Will Collapse

Too much inequality and too few natural resources could leave the West vulnerable to a Roman Empire-style fall.

Few think Western civilization is on the brink of collapse—but it's also doubtful the Romans and Mesopotamians saw their own demise coming either.
If we're to avoid their fate, we'll need policies to reduce economic inequality and preserve natural resources, according to a NASA-funded study that looked at the collapses of previous societies.
"Two important features seem to appear across societies that have collapsed," reads the study. "The stretching of resources due to the strain placed on the ecological carrying capacity and the economic stratification of society into Elites and Masses."
In unequal societies, researchers said, "collapse is difficult to avoid.... Elites grow and consume too much, resulting in a famine among Commoners that eventually causes the collapse of society."
As limited resources plague the working class, the wealthy, insulated from the problem, "continue consuming unequally" and exacerbate the issue, the study said.
Meanwhile, resources continue to be used up, even by the technologies designed to preserve them. For instance, "an increase in vehicle fuel efficiency technology tends to enable increased per capita vehicle miles driven, heavier cars, and higher average speeds, which then negate the gains from the increased fuel-efficiency," the study said.
The researchers used what they termed a Human And Nature DYnamical (HANDY) formula to reach their conclusions. The formula uses factors such as birth rates, resources, and income classes to create a mathematical equation to project outcomes.
The study was sponsored by NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center and headed by the National Science Foundation's Safa Motesharrei.
For those who think modern society is immune from the problems that brought down ancient civilizations, a "brief overview of collapses demonstrates not only the ubiquity of the phenomenon, but also the extent to which advanced, complex and powerful societies are susceptible to collapse," the study said.
So how do we save ourselves? "Collapse can be avoided, and population can reach a steady state at the maximum carrying capacity, if the rate of depletion of nature is reduced to a sustainable level, and if resources are distributed equitably," reads the report.

NASA Promotes Communist Agenda in New Research Study

    Suzanne Hamner 25 Mins Ago

The National Aeronautics Space Administration, also known as NASA, has been most known for its leadership in space exploration through manned missions to the moon and operation of the Space Shuttle. However, not long ago, Obama instructed NASA to engage in Muslim "outreach" as its main purpose. NASA also funds research studies. The latest study was published in the Ecological Economics Journal. This "research" funded by NASA implies that the United States must "distribute resources equally" while avoiding overconsumption or risk suffering the fate of the Roman, Han, Mauryan and Gupta empires.

    According to the Daily Caller:

"Two important features seem to appear across societies that have collapsed," the study adds. "The stretching of resources due to the strain placed on the ecological carrying capacity and the economic stratification of society into Elites and Masses."
The NASA study uses a Human and Nature Dynamical (HANDY) formula "to prove a general framework that allows carrying out 'thought experiments' for the phenomenon of collapse and to test changes that would avoid it." In other words, the model only takes into account general characteristics of fallen civilizations, and not the specifics.
The original article states that "by investigating the human-nature dynamics of these past cases of collapse, the project identifies the most salient interrelated factors which explain civilization decline, and which may help determine the risk of collapse today: namely, Population, Climate, Water, Agriculture, and Energy."
The study concludes that unequal societies collapse due to the formation of "elites and masses" where the elites consume too much leaving the masses to compete over limited resources. It is postulated that limited resources harm the working class while the elite are insulated from the problem. This results in resources continuing to be used without regard to the cost of society. The solution to avoiding this "calamity" is "to adopt egalitarian methods of resource distribution if resource consumption is limited and distributed equally...."
Doesn't that sound like communism? Yes, it does. It's just hidden under different terms such as "resource distribution," "equal resource consumption," and "equal societies."
The study does not define "elites" but it does define the masses as commoners. These "scientists" claim that the elites and their supporters would be more opposed to the implementation of an egalitarian society, which would inevitably contribute to the hastening of the collapse.
According to the report, civilization collapse can be avoided, "and population can reach a steady state at the maximum carrying capacity, if the rate of depletion of nature is reduced to a sustainable level, and if resources are distributed equally."
Not only does this NASA funded study support Communism but population control and "sustainability," which is another term for Agenda 21 and fighting fictional global warming.
Even Obama's science czar John Holdren has suggested that government control the size of populations to keep the Earth livable and whose collaboration with Paul Ehrlich resulted in an argument that population control methods were permissible under the US Constitution. This argument appeared in a passage in Ehrlich's 1968 controversial book, "The Population Bomb."
"Indeed, it has been concluded that compulsory population-control laws, even including laws requiring compulsory abortion, could be sustained under the existing Constitution if the population crisis became sufficiently severe to endanger society," according to Holdren and Ehrlich.
Holdren sounds as if he supports the communist China method of population control of only one child per family. China enforced this policy through mass sterilizations, forced abortions and birth certificates. According to a New York Time article, there have been "336 million forced abortions and 222 million sterilizations" carried out in China since 1971. This does not include the number of infant girls left to die or killed because of this policy nor the nearly 60 million murdered brutally by Mao Zedong.
This study funded by NASA appears to support agendas mainly associated with liberals and goes totally against individual God-given rights supported by the US Constitution. According to this "scientific" study, legalized theft in order to equalize resources is acceptable as long as civilization collapse can be avoided. It would theoretically support mass murder, forced medical procedures and infringement on property rights – all in violation of the limits placed on the US government by the Constitution.
Another problem with this study is the presumption that the so-called elites would be so opposed to an egalitarian society they would hasten the fall of civilization by doing nothing. Does anyone find it ironic that those who are pushing toward Communism or "wealth redistribution" along with "sustainability" are currently found in our Congress and People's House? In other words, the power elite is currently pushing a Communist agenda in violation of our Constitution and God-given rights. After all, we know the power elites create laws to apply to everyone but them. Looking closer, is it not those same power elites who are currently causing collapse on every level in our civilization in support of "redistribution" and "rationing of resources?"
Isn't it the ideology of an egalitarian civilization that created Communism, which consists of "elites and masses" with the elites being in power? Isn't it that type of government that tends to collapse under its own weight? One only has to look at the history of Communism in China and Russia to answer that question. And, wasn't it China that had to alter their staunch Communism stance or push toward an egalitarian society in order to prevent a collapse?
If anything, this study should be a dire warning against Communism or the attempt to create an egalitarian society.

NASA Models Predict Total Societal Collapse: “Irreversible”

    Mac Slavo 1 Hour Ago
    0 Comments

The end of the world as we know it is coming.
You’ve likely heard this before, especially from the growing number of voices in the alternative news and preparedness communities. Often dismissed as conspiracy theory or outright lunacy, there is a growing body of evidence that suggests these fringe thinkers may well be on to something.

Despite assurances from most political leaders, experts and researchers who argue that we live in a stable and sustainable world, a new study utilizing mathematical models developed by NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center may confirm our worst fears.
According to the Socio Economic Synthesis Center, which led the study’s research team and was made up of well respected natural and social scientists from various U.S.-based universities, society as it exists today is decades, perhaps just years, from a complete collapse of our way of life.
Given economic stratication, collapse is very difficult to avoid and requires major policy changes, including major reductions in inequality and population growth rates. Even in the absence of economic stratication, collapse can still occur if depletion per capita is too high. However, collapse can be avoided and population can reach equilibrium if the per capita rate of depletion of nature is reduced to a sustainable level, and if resources are distributed in a reasonably equitable fashion. (SESC via Steve Quayle)
The study cites scores of historical examples of civilization collapse dating back thousands of years. Given the facts it is clear that humanity’s long sought after Utopian society is a goal that is simply unachievable. Every five hundred years or so, the whole system simply falls apart.
There are widespread concerns that current trends in population and resource-use are unsustainable, but the possibilities of an overshoot and collapse remain unclear and controversial.
How real is the possibility of a societal collapse?
Can complex, advanced civilizations really collapse?
It is common to portray human history as a relentless and inevitable trend toward greater levels of social complexity, political organization, and economic specialization, with the development of more complex and capable technologies supporting ever-growing population, all sustained by the mobilization of ever-increasing quantities of material, energy, and information. Yet this is not inevitable.
In fact, cases where this seemingly near-universal, long-term trend has been severely disrupted by a precipitous collapse often lasting centuries have been quite common.

This brings up the question of whether modern civilization is similarly susceptible. It may seem reasonable to believe that modern civilization, armed with its greater technological capacity, scientific knowledge, and energy resources, will be able to survive and endure whatever crises historical societies succumbed to.
But the brief overview of collapses demonstrates not only the ubiquity of the phenomenon, but also the extent to which advanced, complex, and powerful societies are susceptible to collapse.
In short, the mathematical models utilized to determine the results of the study indicate that there are two key causes for what the authors call an “irreversible” collapse.
First, with the earth’s population now over 7 billion people our civilization is burning through resources faster than they can be replenished, and the burden of paid “non-workers” (i.e. those who are given resources for performing no actual function in society) leads to a complete break down in the system.
We can see how an irreversible Type-N (full) collapse of Population, Nature, and Wealth can occur due to over-depletion of natural resources as a result of high depletion per capita.

Workers and Non-Workers with the same level of consumption, i.e., with no economic stratication. The Non-Workers in these scenarios could represent a range of societal roles from students, retirees, and disabled people, to intellectuals, managers, and other non-productive sectors. In this case, the Workers have to deplete enough of Nature to support both the Non-Workers and themselves.
Second, and this may come as no surprise, “elite” members of society are accumulating whatever available resources there are in an effort to maintain control over the “commoners.”

The Elite population starts growing significantly… hence depleting the Wealth and causing the system to collapse.
Under this scenario, the system collapses due to worker scarcity even though natural resources are still abundant, but because the depletion rate is optimal, it takes more than 400 years after the Wealth reaches a maximum for the society to collapse.
In this example, Commoners die out first and Elites disappear later. This scenario shows that in a society that is otherwise sustainable, the highly unequal consumption of elites will still cause a collapse. This scenario is an example of a Type-L collapse in which both Population and Wealth collapse but Nature recovers.

The Elites eventually consume too much, resulting in a famine among Commoners that eventually causes the collapse of society. It is important to note that this Type-L collapse is due to an inequality-induced famine that causes a loss of workers, rather than a collapse of Nature. Despite appearing initially to be the same as the sustainable optimal solution obtained in the absence of Elites, economic stratication changes the final result: Elites’ consumption keeps growing until the society collapses. The Mayan collapse in which population never recovered even though nature did recover is an example of a Type-L collapse
There are several other scenarios outlined in the study, but the above two are seemingly the ones that may be responsible for the coming collapse of our own civilization.
In America, nearly 50% of the population produces nothing, yet receives payment in the form of money, goods and services. This takes resources out of the hands of those who actually produce these resources.
Furthermore, it should be obvious that elite members of society simply take what they want through force, whether by taxation or criminal activity (as defined by natural law), putting even more strain on the system.
Over time, the debt builds and pulls forward wealth from generations ahead, resources are depleted, and costs begin to reach levels that are simply unsustainable for everyone, including the elites who attempt to amass as much as they can.
In the end, we all suffer the same fate.
According to this and other studies, like one recently published by the UK Government Office of Science and entitled A Perfect Storm of Global Events, we are very quickly approaching the breaking point. Over the next fifteen years, it is predicted that the strain could become so burdensome on society that the system will crack and eventually break down.
The result will be famine, war, and what some refer to as a “die off.” This will affect all segments of society.
Naturally, there will be those who survive, and it will likely be the people who are able to develop their own sustainable environments on a personal, familial or communal level. These people may have taken steps to not only prepare for long-term crises, but to develop sustainable practices that will allow them to produce their own food and energy.
The mathematics being cited here have been seen time and again in other studies, and they don’t bode well for human civilization as we know it today.
With seven billion people on the planet, a massively unproductive non-workforce, and the greed of the elite, it is only a matter of time before something breaks and there is a real possibility that our civilization will not be able to survive it.
The scary version? According to these studies, the consequences will be felt within most of our lifetimes.

I agree that America is in great danger of being brought down by communist and socialist influences that have infiltrated most of our higher institutions including NASA!
